The leafs can then flip Zucc for more picks and a good prospect. They clear even more cap space. Dump is right, you are undervaluing our players big time. That team needs a major shakeup and rebuild.

I'm confused, what are we undervaluing? I think Zucc for Bozak is a deal the Leafs would make, assuming they have another deal lined up to flip Zucc for picks and prospects. What do we expect to get from the Leafs for Zucc? Guess I am missing the point on this one. I didn't post give them Zucc and picks and prospects for Bozak.

If we do a Zucc for Bozak deal (which I would not do) my guess is it will be straight up, or maybe a much lesser pick going one way.

I hear you strud, but truthfully I say 4.6 is the max. I wouldn't go more. Take it or leave it over five or six years.

9:23PM: The Rangers offered Zuccarello a six-year deal worth $4.5 million per season. The Rangers are not letting teams with interest in Zuccarello discuss potential contract terms. (KK)

Six years at 4.5 per. If Zucc passes on that, so be it. I don't feel bad about it. That is a great fair offer from Sather. All he can do.

That's what I'm talking about. If he turns down six years than goodbye.

They need to be smart though. Don't just trade him to trade him because you'll lose him for nothing possibly this offseason. If they move him, move him for a piece that replaces him. I'd almost rather just not trade him, let him play as a rental trade player for us and them see in the offseason if we can get him resigned.

I don't see him being traded to a playoff contender and for the other teams what would be the point?

If we cannot get a very good player now, I hold for sure. We are a SC type team, cannot just deal Zucc because he may leave this summer. Hold if we need to.

10:27PM: Elliotte Friedman said tonight, “Contract talks have gone nowhere between him and the Rangers, it’s believed that the Rangers final offer was around Max Pacioretty’s contract, six years and an average of $4.5. The Rangers are not allowing any teams to speak with him beforehand.”(Sportsnet)

I'm telling you right now. Trade him or else see him with his head up his ass the rest of the season.

If some other team wants to give him six years and $5.5 a year for those number than be my guest.

Good point Mess. If we don't deal him and we don't raise our offer, does it affect his play? Good point. I would hope not, but possible I guess.

they dont suck but it is incomplete team and you know it. Without Zucc this team is even less formidable.

If reports are true the Rangers are playing hardball right back with him. Not allowing a team to negotiate before any potential deal is made.

What does incomplete mean? Do they need some bottom 6 depth and a 3rd pair dman upgrade, sure, but I don't know if that makes them incomplete. In the grand scheme of things that isn't a lot to "need". You should in theory be able to fill those "holes" without going crazy. We'll see what Glen does.
