Fast coming back helps out the bottom six depth. If it came down to it to think they would trade Zucc with the intention of getting worse is silly.

They need a faceoff specialist, 5th d-men and top 3 winger with size.

Anything else? Maybe cancel the playoffs and just give them the cup?

if you trade zucc, who will replace him on top line? They will get worse if they trade him and not bring top 6 winger.

I just listed things they are missing as team. Chuck asked what I meant by incomplete.

Ridiculous Step. Sorry but it is. You are entitled to your opinion, but in my opinion it is WAY over the top.

They can use a bottom 6 forward, hopefully someone that can win faceoffs. And then a 3rd pair dman upgrade from Moore.

You take care of that and we are as good as any team. And that is all you can ask for.

ALL season I said the issue with this team is depth, and if they add that depth by Monday we'll have as good a chance to win the cup as any team.

    Elite goalie...check.
    Stud player upfront...check.
Good C depth this season...with Hayes stepping up...check.
    Good first two lines...check.
    Two very good D pairs...check.

I would love to add a 3rd line forward, of the guys left I think Stewart or Glencross would be a great fit AND a 3rd line dman upgrade. I think Gleason would have been a perfect fit, but Glen was sleeping as he went to a rival, so now he needs to find someone else for that role.

Ideally I'd like to bump Miller to the 4th line with Fast and Moore and add a 3rd line guy like Stewart or Glencross, but if not maybe add a McClement type to play with Moore and Fast/Stemp as a good 4th line mix.

Bozak actually has as much talent as any of our Cs so that would be a nice move. Losing MZ would be a bit of a bummer but the benefit to the balance would be better imo.

We lose talent in a deal like that. Plus that locks Hayes in as a winger moving forward. I would love to add Bozak and keep Zucc. Then we are onto something.

I simply don't see how they get a trade with Zucc done. A team out of the playoffs doesn't need what could amount to a rental. You're not sending him to a playoff team in the East so that leaves out West. I just don't see it.

How the hell do you know that? I live how we all assume these things or that zucchini is great in the room. We have no clue.

The only way it works is:

    1. The Leafs want out from under Bozak's deal, so they take Zucc to get the 3 years off their books.
    OR
    2. The Leafs have a deal in place to flip Zucc as soon as we trade him there.

I think Sunday could be the day we get a clearer picture on what we will do. Makes more sense since we play Monday night.

Mess thats why basically Zucc is a salary dump in that type of deal but you have to give them the real value in the picks/prospects.

No you don't...LOL. You just hold him and if it doesn't work out you let him walk. MUCH rather do that than take a worse player AND give them a pick and prospect. Come on man.

If they trade him they certainly need somebody in return to replace him. If you're taking on years and money than I want a draft pick back also.

He's not a worse player, that's where we're not connecting here Chuck. He's a different type of player but he's as valuable. Sure you lose Zuccs shiftiness but you also gain a talented 3C.

Bozak blows. There is a reason the Leafs suck. They litter the roster with one dimensional players who have crap work ethics.

Agree with Chuck here. Leafs are full of crap players with lousy defensive games. I don't see a match with the Leafs.

We should save this one dump...we actually agree.

To me the fact that we disagree 99% of the time just tells you there is more than one way to get things done. If we all agreed all the time this board would be a pretty boring place. Disagreeing is what keeps this board fresh...LOL.
