You did? When I said what you just said yesterday, you got on my case and said the Flyer game was not a tough game and they blow. Last night was going to be a tough game. Philly was desperate for points AND they are one of the best home teams in the NHL. Not surprised they lost, as you see from my post that started this thread, I just didn't like how they played. Is what it is.
It wasn't a tough game. They do blow. The fact is that the Rangers were due for a let down. Flyers are not a good team. With all the trade rumors and the Rangers having a long hot streak without Hank, they were due for a crap game.
I agree with that actually. I don't think the Flyers are good, but given all the circumstances factored in (trade deadline and Philly desperate for points), I thought it could be a tough game to win. We played poorly and with no passion and still almost won, tells me all I need to know about the Flyers. Next 5 games are real tough though. Can we go 3-2 somehow...
Remember the Rangers lost to the Oilers this year. Sometimes, good teams just mail it in some regular season games. You can't play all 82 on a high level. You'll be dead by the end of the season.
It was an overall uninspired effort. That's why I'm glad they are entering a stretch against the better teams. They need to wake up a bit. Also, it's always good to get the deadline out of the way.
