And if it was the Caps all you can do is smile. Pens add Perron and Winnik. Caps add Gleason and Glencross (both players I would have loved to add). The Isles have a deep team. AND we do nothing...LOL.

    Good stuff.

Wonder if the Isles are in on him. They have space and dmen on the farm.

The Bruins are a team to watch on Atkinson but so are the Rangers if they move Zuccarello. (Custance)

I saw we were showing interest in him lately. J Moore and a 2nd would be fine with me, maybe dump Kristo in there too.lol

If we did a move like that, we'd have to also follow it up with a move to add a 3rd pair dman.

I don't know what we are going to do at this point. I won't even pretend to have a clue. No one knows what Sather is thinking. I do know if he does nothing he should be shipped out at 3:01 tomorrow, but short of that I have no clue at all what the guy will do.

Look, we have all debated a lot of stuff in here the past 6 weeks or so about the trade DL, but I will say it flat out if Sather does nothing he has to get fired. I KNOW there is zero shot of that happening, but it should.

You cannot watch the Pens improve, the Caps improve, the Isles be a good deep team and do NOTHING. You cannot do it man. The Pens and Caps added guys we should have been in on, but nope.

If we don't do something to keep the pace, the guy should get fired...period.

Another deal I would make. We have two 2nd's anyway AND a 3rd rounder would be in the 70's most likely...not a game changer.

Don't know if Glencross would ahve accepted a trade here anyway, but the point is Sather cannot sit and watch the teams in our division improve and do nothing.

    Love the Caps effort:

Randy Sportak: The Capitals were pushing hard for Glencross. They weren’t on his initial list, but he was convinced to include them.

So they added Gleason (perfect fit for our 3rd pair) and Glencross (perfect fit for our 3rd line) and we do NOTHING.

All you can do is laugh. Doesn't appear as if the Caps are concerned about picks in the 50's and 70's and 90's as they dealt their 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. Good for them.

The team shouldn't be concerned with second rounders or third rounder thos season Chuck, I agree with you. This is the year you're supposed to add guys to make your team deeper. This fucking idiot is doing the complete opposite and looking to trade guys away. Honestly I don't care if Zuccarello stays in walks during free agency. He's a forward on this team that can play, has been to the cup, so just use him as a rental

Stop what? Watching our GM do nothing just like 2012? Let Sather do something and then it will be stopped Mess. Just because you are okay with watching the teams we are going to play in rounds 1 and 2 (if we get there) improve as we do nothing, doesn't mean I will be bro.

They could trade his rights before free agency.

Of course we shouldn't be strud, because you are not overly concerned about picks in the 50's, 70's, and 90's. But we should stop otherwise Mess will get upset...LOL.

All good man...let's watch the teams in our division improve and we'll just sit and smile. We need to stop...LOL.

You need to stop Mess. Stop acting as if all is good as we do nothing.

If your counter is "wait until the trade DL to get on Sather" my response is open your eyes, the players we would get are all being dealt now. The past two days. By tomorrow we will be at the bottom of the barrel. I am sure Stewart to the Bruins is next.

And IF we make a deal today or tomorrow I will very gladly say I was too quick to get on Sather, and I was wrong. I have no issue saying that. But right now I have no clue what the guy is doing or what he is waiting for.

So by do something it's clear you just want a deal for the sake of doing so. Doesn't who or what you just want to see the Rangers logo next to a deal.

Did you really just write that Mess? We can list 5 or 6 guys who were traded the past few days I/we wanted here. SC and I did it last evening. So stop man. It isn't just get anybody here. It was 3rd line depth like Winnik or Glencross or Tlusty or Fleischmann. Or add Gleason for the 3rd D pair.

So no it is not just add a warm body. And if you notice I didn't rip Sather for Vermette or Sekera when they went for 1st rounders.

So you need to stop here Mess.

Just because you think the team as is has enough without adding anyone, don't project that onto me. I do not agree with that. We don't have enough depth upfront or on D to win 4 rounds. Double so now that getting out of the Met became much tougher the past few days.

Funny how the Pens and Caps don't get so worried about dealing picks in the 50's to 90's.
