Re: Allen Iverson traded to Chicago!!! I was about to punch myself in the face if he got traded to tthe bulls! why would you make a topic like this? youre such a punk

The celtics have alot of young talent that they could give up and they have alot of potential. If you trade Big Al, you still have gomes. If you trade Bassy, you still have Rondo as a backup and Delonte. Also, they could give up Theo because Philly is in need of a defensive player. Too bad he is injured all the time..</div>You'd be shocked how dumb Billy King can be. Iverson is one of the 60 greatest players of all-time without a doubt. I think his reputation as a ball hog isn't accurate because he's never had strong offensive players around him. He'd definitely take less shots playing with Paul Pierce. The greatest slasher in NBA history? I think that's going a little bit too far, but he's up there for sure.

Re: Allen Iverson traded to Chicago!!! ^^ haha they'de have to give up at least two of those players to actually get him

Jeez. Second of all, even if that team was intact, Iverson would start at the 2, Hinrich would start at the 1, Gordon off the bench.
Re: Allen Iverson traded to Chicago!!! hahahah that was the best I seriously thought about adding a topic with a simialr title, but couldn't think of a topic lol
Re: Allen Iverson traded to Chicago!!! Goddamn..I almost pissed my pants. Thanks for my nearly soiled shorts Tony.

Viktor Khryapa and a bag of pretzels?
Re: Allen Iverson traded to Chicago!!! If they go for Iverson, youve got to think Ben Gordon would be in the mix..He's too inconsistent, and he can afford to go if they're geting an even better scorer in return. I dont think they want to let Hinrich, or Luol Deng go, but I think Tyrus Thomas and/or Nocioni are expendable and PJ Brown's big contract that comes off the books next year would be an automatic throw-in to make the trade work..

I bet Chicago will try to keep Tyrus. He has a ton of potential, and he is a terrific athlete. He could turn out to be like Amare or someone like him.
Re: Allen Iverson traded to Chicago!!! If they want to get Iverson, they have to add in a young piece or two...They have a potential top 3 pick next year, so they could replace him with someone with arguably more skill and potential.

The guy averages 23 Shots Per Game over his career, and shoots a horrid percentage (42%). Iverson will make 2 or 3 impossible shots a game, miss 5 or 6 ill-advised shots, and generally take over 10 horrible shots in the least every game. Whether this is justified or not, people will always remember him as a ballhog. That being said, Iverson is perhaps the greatest ballhandler in NBA history. I'm not just talking about crossovers, I'm talking about everything. How do you think AI gets so many mid-range jumpers off? The man can dribble from (A) to ( as quickly and as efficiently as anyone in the history of the game. Iverson also averages 9 Free Throw Attempts Per Game, in no small part to his ability to get into the paint.Iverson defensively is suspect. One on one he is garbage, and I think everyone knows that. It's not Iverson's lack of lateral quicks, its his lack of size and strength. Off the ball, for every 3 steals he gets, Iverson is going to gamble and leave a man wide open. I remember reading an article from a Raptors Magazine out in Canada, and back in the 2001 Playoffs, Dell Curry was able to average double didgits (around there) off the bench. Most of his points, something in the 60 - 70 % range, came off Allen Iverson gambles.Even though Iverson takes many horrid shots, and even though Iverson makes equally as many horrid decisions (3.7 TOPG over career), no one can argue that Allen Iverson can score - and he can score in bunches. As Ballaholic stated, Iverson is 3rd in All Time PPG, and 2nd in All Time Playoff PPG. Despite size and range limitations, Allen Iverson has still been able to get off any shot at any time. And the clutch... Oh the clutch. As of the end of last season, Allen Iverson had made 8/20 shots with 24 seconds left, team tied/down 1/down 2 within the past four years. How did Tracy McGrady do? 35% to Iverson's 40%. How did Kobe Bryant do? 22% to Iverson's 40%. Now, Iverson didn't have the most late game attempts, but it's without the doubt the man is a monster late.So basically, Iverson is perhaps the greatest slasher in the history of the game. Iverson is one of the greatest clutch players in the history game. Allen is one of the greatest scorers in NBA history. Allen Iverson has one of the greatest mid-range shots in NBA history. However, Iverson makes dumb decisions (shooting, when to drive, when to pass), gambles way too much on defense, is a liability as a one-on-one defender, and is very streaky from 3.In conclusion, Iverson's horrible teams have hindered his reputation. He's had to do too much, and it refelects on his play. Regardless, no one can deny Iverson is one of the greatest scorers and clutch performers ever, and can be a deadly passer when his teammates are going. As with so many others, Allen Iverson will not have a clear reputation as a Superstar because quite simply... His teams have blown, and blown it bigtime. Either way, I view Allen Iverson as perhaps a Top 10 Guard of All Time - the only way to go from there being up.</div>u need to start writing more articles like this. its great. (+rep)

I'm sure that when he has someone else alongside him (ehem, Paul Pierce. :shifty2, he will play alot more efficiently.
Re: Allen Iverson traded to Chicago!!! Thanks for the kind words boys. If I see another subject begging for my insight, I will surely write something long again.
Re: Allen Iverson traded to Chicago!!! I think that if the bulls wanted to trade for AI, Ben Gordon would be an obvious one to trade IMO. Kirk Hinrich is playing the 2 guard spot right now anyways so AI could either play the 2 or 1 and have Duhon come off of the bench.....But, I think that the Sixers would for sure want Thomas. But since the Bulls would be getting a great pick next year, they would be able to replace him with perhaps a guy like Durant out of Texas, or Wright out Kansas as well. Durant has a better skillset than Thomas anyways, and Wright is very athletic as well.
