Why ship out Boyle now? Moore is going to Zona and the pairings are now solid.

You were right. I AM SORRY GLEN.

And that is the point, Duclair may be great and may not be great, who knows. But I don't see Kreider and I even think Miller may be a better fit for us because I see more size and bang there.

As for Zona, yeah Maloney has them setup great. A ton of picks. Should be top 3 this season in a deep draft. And maybe top 2 and get a super stud. They will be real good in 3 or 4 years.

Boyle has a full NTC anyway, so no point in discussing.

Pretty sure 99% of teams would love Boyle as their # 6 dman.

A clear cup fav. All you can ask for. From there the chips will fall where they may. I'd love one depth forward added if possible though.

Impact player over these overrated guys I was talking about. Worth the draft picks. If they can somehow grab a faceoff guy tomorrow things would be great.

I think McClement would be a great fit now. Flip a 4th to the Canes for him. I think that gets it done. Then hoist the cup...:).

The nice part is hopefully we can stop killing McD and Girardi with minutes now.

Darn...McClement just resigned for two years. Scratch him. He would have been a good fit. I would love to find a way to add another forward that can win faceoffs to the bottom 6. Not sure if it is possible though.

    For sure Mess.

Yandle, McD, Girardi, Staal, and Klein...WOW. Just say it out loud. Where is the weak link. All of those guys can play 20 minutes per game. What a D.

Don't rule out the Rangers trading Yandle for a boat load next year if Skjei looks ready. Something tells me that at some point, Staal and Girardi are going to be used to get picks back and rebuild a little.

Is Boyd Gordon even worth looking at?

As a big believer in Duclair, the one knock on his offense is he leaves the zone early to generate a lot of his chances. That does not work in the NHL. He has 50-60 point skill. No doubt. The fact they included him in this deal tells me three things.

    1. They think Buchnevich is better.
    2. They think Hayes is going to be a legit, 50 point guy.
    3. They think their offense is set for 4-5 years where they don't need his finishing skills.

I would suspect other than a right handed defenseman, the Rangers are going to draft lots of offensive forwards with speed and finishing skills with their picks this year.

Considering Hayes is on pace for 16 goals and 40 points this season, I think 50 points is possible in the future for sure.

Can't not like this deal. Get a top stud offensive d-man in Yandle and lose nothing off out current roster. The duke may be good but who knows with young players. And if he is good he's in the other conference anyway. Loss of some draft picks for the next couple of years but with the youth this team has as dump mentioned will enable us to survive. And we can still sign undrafted players or guys like hayes who don't sign with their draft teams so there are other options out there to replenish also. In addition, coyotes paying half yandles salary which is another plus and imo helped get the hobbit resigned which is another plus. Also Brady can get a year of seasoning in hartford he'll need and doesn't need to be rushed. Also, we still have Big Mac who from reports is ready now and I expect unless traded will be the 7th d man at worst next season and will alternate with boyle in boyle's last season. Dump I saw your comment on how it took some of the guys 20 games to learn the system but if I remember right the player with a similar skillset to yandle who learned it pretty quickly was mcdonagh so I'm looking for yandle to do the same. Very excited about this deal for now and the future and we still have guys down below like brady and big mac on D, Buch, Lindberg and tambellini on offense and 2 highly regarded goaltenders 1 of which should be ready when Hank starts to decline whenever that is. Only thing I can't rationalize is why with all the tanking going on why Buffalo is not breaking down our door demanding Glass to clinch last place for themselves. I can't understand how anyone can be upset with this deal and also the stempniak deal looks like it may have given us another young player with some ability to add to the roster. Only thing left now is for Big Al to post his 20 something year old picture he did last year for our playoff run.

Button on NHL network just said we have the best D in the NHL, and hands down are a big fav in the East now.

Ferraro loves it for us also. Biron likes it for us. 3rd guy said NYR have set the bar. Sather looks like a genius they say. Rangers the 1 and Montreal the 1A.

My lord they love this deal.

    Great deal Glen.
