<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>wally can be traded for a big, which we would desperately need.</div> I have to agree here, the deal really leaves Boston thin in the frontcourt and despite only losing one big, Jefferson in the trade. It's a dropoff with Gomes/Scal/Perk/Kandi as the withstanding bigs. A three way could satisfy the needs for all teams.
I'd say denver is a likely third team. They have plenty of bigs and likely have an interest in wally.

My point is, this guy should be starting, and playing 30 mpg. He's got the talent. All he needs is the playing time.</div> Pacers fan, you don't know what you are talking about. You think he should be getting 30 mpg? Behind Paul Pierce and Wally Szczerbiak? Reasons why Gerald is playing lately: - Wally is out. - Gerald has made big strides and he has improved a ton since last year. Gerald's Stats for the Past 5 Games 19.6 mpg 9.2 ppg 2.8 rpg 1.2 apg 0.6 bpg 51% FG 50% 3FG 80% FT Past 5 games, he has played 20 mpg and he has produced. He even had a 16 point 4th quarter vs. Memphis (totaled 21 that night). Gerald has really improved his game, especially defensively.
you're right. he's putting forth alot more effort on the defensive end now. his increase in minutes can likely also contribute to that. not that doc plays people for defense, it's just that he didn't have an excuse to take gerald out.
