I cannot wait until we get a real coach for this team. One that understands rotations, and playing the best players, and getting a strategic Technical Foul when your team is getting hosed by the officials.
How many Bulls had more points than FGA tonight... Not enough. Kirk 2-5, 5 points, 2 assists. CJ Watson 2-5, 11 points, 4 assists. Both played 23 minutes.
Doug 16 points on 17 shots. You don't win with that kind of lines in the box score. That's roughly 1/4 all the shots in the game. 4x 16 is only 64.
I wouldn't have thought it possible that even this board could say this loss was in any way about Hinrich, but I'd've been wrong. Truly amazing.
No, Moore wasn't great this game. But he was certainly better than both Brooks and Hinrich. How does a 12-year year veteran like Hinrich get called for an 8-second backcourt violation when nobody is even guarding him close? Snell and McDoug should have played every second that Hinrich played tonight, but Thibs insisted on playing Kirk for 23 minutes. I'm not suggesting that the Bulls would have won this game if not for Thibs' shitty coaching, most of the team played like crap tonight and they deserved to lose. But there were at least 3 times that McDoug drove to the hole and got clobbered with no call, and Thibs didn't say a word. Sometimes a coach has to get called for a 'T' to show his team that he has their back, it would have been nice to see Thibs get one tonight. Mostly, I am sick and tired of seeing Hinrich play ahead of Moore. Brooks too, I'd rather see Moore play 36-40 minutes at PG with McDoug and Snell getting more minutes at SG.
It's not like Hinrich cost us the game, but I don't think I've seen anyone suggest that he did. Personally, I'm just sick of watching him play ahead of Moore - and if Thibs would play Moore at PG, Snell and McDoug could get more minutes at SG/SF. I've always defended Hinrich in the past, but this season he has been just plain horrible, and the team has better options. The team offense runs much better when they go motion around Noah at the high post, but so many possession wind up with Brooks running pick and roll which winds up with a horrible shot by Brooks or Hinrich, or a forced shot late in the shot clock by someone else.
