On mixmakers, I made 10 threads this afternoon for two reasons: 1. I was bored and 2. because I need some "points" over there so I can maybe get some Allen Iverson clips (for a mix). Anyway, I made 10 threads: 1. Who is your favorite player, and why? 2. Who is your favorite PG of all time? 3. Who is your favorite rookie? 4. What's up with Eddy Curry? 5. Who do you think is the best shooter in the NBA? 6. Who is your favorite dunker? 7. 5 seconds left... (who would you give the ball to, anyone in the league) 8. Where do you feel deep down AI will go? 9. Most inconsistant players? 10. What player on your team do you dislike the most? People bitched and moaned at me, and said this was spam. I was even warned, WTF? I make 10 topics, I create discussion, and raise mixmakers' post count... and they get mad and say I am spamming? :wtf1:
thats why I just leech mixmakers..they're a bunch of whiny bastardsid rather post here all day when im bored instead
did you say anything else in the thread? or did you just put that question and not say anything else? because if you just asked the question then I would consider that spam
I know right what a bunch of Awholes your creating discussion and they warn you, it's not like you were creating stupid topics.
They don't care if they're quality posts, if they see somebody making a lot of posts, they immediately call it spam.

I didn't just post the question, I at least gave a brief opinion. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Yo man, you shouldnt of spammed them.</div>
I can see where they think it's spam...those are all pretty 'gone over 1,000 times' topics..or as I call them 'Tony topics'... ...They probably figure your making those topics for a reason...oh well.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BrewCityBuck @ Dec 10 2006, 08:53 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>They probably figure your making those topics for a reason...oh well.</div> I kind of was. I needed "points" so people would help me out with getting Allen Iverson clips for a mix I want to make. But you are right, oh well. I really could care less what they think of me over there. That is a forum for highlights, BBW is the forum for real basketball discussion.

To answer your question, if you did all those topics within in a hour or two it would seem kind of suspicious with the overload of topics being made. Especially some of these seem repetitive or imo done before. Sort of like some topics on this board at times. Also, like crazy kicks said, if you went the mavsfan way and added nothing to the topics. Then I would consider it spam. But you said you didn't, but I don't think it's wrong of them to question it. Even you said it yourself, you were doing it for points and in a way you were "discretely" spamming.

I don't consider it spam but they could've been more cleverly done to not get anyone suspicious.

That isnt spam what so ever....
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>how would you consider it spam even if he didnt write anything in the topic....he was starting a topic and creating discussion. Their basically taking someone's elses words and making it their own to generate discussion. Also, seeing as some of those topics are basically regurgitation, it could easily be regarded as spam. Same topics with an article only should be considered spam imo.
