Mine has to be Gary Payton, and for a number of reasons. Not only did he have the swagger/attitude, but he always backed it up. He is one of the best defensive guards ever to live. He could post up, use his left hand almost as well as his right, great playmaker, could score from driving/shooting/posting, he had a HUGE heart out there on the court, very hard worker, and a leader. I absolutely love GP, and when I heard a couple years ago that the Celtics traded for him, I was estatic! I am VERY happy he finally got his ring last year, he deserved it.Who is yours, and why?

If you count Iverson as PG, then it is him, without a doubt. However, other than him I'd go with Gary Payton for the reasons you've mentioned and Isiah Thomas. I never saw Thomas play live or anything, but I've seen a lot of his games on NBATV, ESPN Classic, etc., and I just loved the way he played and the amount of heart he played with. He was as tough as they come, and a great basketball player.I'd also put Jason Kidd in my top five favorite point guards of all time.

Tim Hardaway. One of my favorite and top Heat players of all time. He had arguably the best crossover the game has ever seen, he was clutch, played with heart, and did a lot for the community.

My favorite point guard of all time is KJ, Kevin Johnson. He was so fast, with and without the ball, it was amazing. What I loved the most was how he never tried to be to fancy, or over do things, he made the simple play and was only fancy when he had to be. He was so fast getting into the lane, it was amazing, and that was with hand checks being allowed.

Walt Frazier- I think he's one of the most over looked greats of all time, People don't realize how good this guy is. His defense was amazing.Fat Lever- I have to support the Nuggets here. He did everything good, He led our team in rebounding numerous times. He was a triple double thread every time he stepped onto the court.

Defintely Sam Cassell. I love guys who have fun and play hard and he was one of them. Sure his defense was nothing to write home about but he was a lot of fun to watch...always laughing and bullshitting with referee's. I really liked how he took good shots instead of forcing things and taking three pointers.

Penny Hardaway. He had the IQ, and the flash. He is the reason that I became interested in the NBA. (A new franchise called the Raptors helped too). Shake and bake baby.

I hate him though, he was the reason that Brian Hill got ran out of Orlando the first time. Brian Hill was a good coach for us, and was a big reason for Hardaway having freedom to do the things he wanted to do on the court.

I've only really started to watch games since 2004. Of course, I've seen lots of old-school film. So, here's mine:1) Magic Johnson2) Steve Nash3) John Stockton4) Bob Cousy5) Penny Hardaway (yes, I know he was also a SG)

Past: Magic Johnson. I loved EVERYTHING he did on the court. Hell, I don't even have to explain why he's my all time fav. PG. He's that damn good.Present: Jason Kidd. This guy is a leader, plays with his heart, does everything. 78 triple doubles anyone?

Jason Kidd for me, you could say he was probably my first favorite player in the NBA. So no doubt he holds the honor of being my favorite PG of all time.
