Bulls could be without Rose, Gibson, and Butler(3-6 weeks) all month

    I'd like to see Gibson sit out another 3 weeks, then come back in time for Gasol to take about 2 weeks off to rest up. Then Gasol can come back for the last 2 or 3 regular season games while Niko sits out for 7-10 days.

    I'd like to see Butler sit out another 3-4 weeks so McDermott and Moore can keep getting minutes.

    I'd like to see Hinrich miss 5-6 games so we can see Moore get some PG minutes to see how he does.

    I'd like to see us in the 4th seed and healthy, if everyone is close to 100% we can beat any team in the East, though I'd like to play Cleveland last to give everyone plenty of time to be as healthy as they can be.

    Looks to me like Niko is starting to break down. I wouldn't hate seeing Taj back ti alleviate some of the stress.

    If they are going to sit all those guys plenty of time to get them healthy, then win / loss expectations for the remainder of the regular season need to be thrown out the window. Also, everyone has to be on board with simply losing games or playing the remaining good players low minutes, since you will have to play them heavy minutes attempting to win the games.

    This would mean fewer minutes for Niko, who Thibs was getting hammered for not playing him enough.
    This would mean heavy minutes for Kirk, which Thibs gets hammered for for playing him too much.
    And plenty of Baristow and Nazr time.

    I would not really be against it, but its not how most NBA franchises conduct business. Most try and win the games and tend to play the good players.

    Also, these is something to be said for an organization instilling key values like overcoming adversity, working through difficult situations and not making excuses. This is of course the Thibs philospohy and has much to do with the Bulls overachieving he last few regular seasons. Basically tanking games to get guys healthy somewhat undermines that.
