The post-Bert era weigh-ins go off without a hitch, mostly. Daron Cruickshank didn't make it on his first attempt. Henry Cejudo made it with a pound to spare.

    Nelson has horrible fight IQ.

You stun Overeem twice, knock him down once, in the final round of a fight you've been outclassed in...why the fuck do you go for a takedown both times? The only thing I can think of is a broken arm or hand from checking a kick? That was so un-Nelson like. Overeem looked good, but his chin is still his downfall. A smarter fighter would have stolen that fight in the 3rd round via TKO.

Time to set up Overeem/JDS finally. Time for JDS to shatter Overeem's chin.

Its time for Roy to be cut from the UFC, as well. He's done.

A+ performances by dos Anjos and Jedrzejczyk. Great to see challengers coming to win and not just hang with the champion. Both put constant pressure on the champs and stuck to their game plans.

Johny Hendricks vs. Matt Brown was dull. So was Cejudo vs. Cariaso. With this many wrestlers on the card that was to be expected. At least JJ nullified Esparza's smothering. Should note that I noticed the difference in Hendrick's physique but not in his fighting.

Alistair Overeem in tactical mode is scary. He will always have a suspect chin but if he avoids taking punishment like he did in the last two fights he's going to be fighting for the title again. Nelson had some kind of mental malfunction and couldn't figure the fight out. Spamming overhands Chuck Liddell style didn't do much for him.

Sweet knockout by Ross Pearson. His striking was on point. Sam Stout is looking worn down in the last couple of years. Too many wars.

Elias Theodorou needs to switch camps. He has some technique deficiencies. Why isn't he at Tri-Star? Still, he knows how to put pressure on his opponent.

Beneil Dariush looked amazing. Great fight. Big potential for him.

Didn't see the rest but I guess Joe Duffy looked like a stud (as expected) and Ryan Benoit got a cheap shot off on the other Pettis brother.

speeds, I honestly disagree. I don't think tactical Overeem is scary at all. He lacks KO power since his miracle conversion to less muscle mass and his "focus" on cardio. (Yes, I may be accusing him of enhanced drugs) His chin is still suspect enough that he will get rocked 2-3 times in a fight. Nelson isn't a big accurate striker...somebody like Stipe or JDS will put Overeem on queer street rather easily, IMO. Is he improved? Yeah, but I don't think he'll sniff anything close to a title shot. He still gets hit too much for someone who has a chin like his.

I need to watch the last two fights of the card, I closed the stream down and spent time with family. I am so happy Pettis lost. That guy bugs the shit out of me.

Sounds like RDA had a partially torn MCL three weeks prior to the bout and wasn't sure he'd be able to kick.

I called it! Was it a broken right hand? It was so un Roy like to not throw punches in bunches when he had Reem hurt.

dos Anjos has a partially torn MCL and probably needs three months of rest before he can resume training, so, maybe six months until the next title defence?
