Huh? He IS a stretch 4, and it's precisely because the Blazers have started to use him as such that he's having some success. And that's the whole point, the stopped trying to force him to do something that isn't natural for him.

Interesting that some fans here seem to think the fact that he's making 3s is a sign that he should go back to playing center?

Also, Meyer's height is a bit misleading. He's 7-1, but his standing reach and wingspan are that of a typical PF.

I don't think hardly any basketball players have short arms, it's just that most of them have long arms. His standing reach was only 9 feet. It has to do with his he's built. Most NBA players with his wingspan and standing reach are like ~6'9 PF size.

His athleticism makes up for his "average" length.

Well. Maybe the Blazers went two for two in that draft!

Leonard missed both of his three pointers last game.

Is this slump going to continue? What does he need to do to snap out of it?

What's worse, his trade value just took a big hit.

Should we give his minutes to D-Wright?

    :)

"Le Nards". My new nickname for Meyers.

Now I just need to get Nico to call him that. ;)

This is very true. He's the tallest player in the Draftexpress measurements database with a 30" no-step vertical leap. That puts his no-step vertical reach at 11'6", which is above average for centers.

I'm happy to say that I've always been in his camp. It takes time for bigs to develop. The guy is huge and a great athlete. You just don't find guys like that.
