    LOL

I hope you carry a rifle with you when you head out...

I'd love to have that kind of area near me...

Yep, I do usually carry a .44 on the Hip, and either a 12 gauge with double aught buck in it, and a couple of Bowie Knives, on top of it. A bit of Over-Kill perhaps? I just don't want to be the one on the prey side.....LOL....

Is that all? You call that prepared? Come on man, its a big kitty cat. Catnip, a ball of string and a laser pointer is all you need.

Now the Alaskan, short barrel shotgun and bowies, that's minimum protection in brown bear country. Me...I'd also slap on the 458 SOCOM udder to my AR with min. 325 grain ammo. Conventional wisdom says 375 H&H to. 450 Marlin.....but I'd prefer access to a 10 round mag, just in case.

One of the very biggest mistakes I've ever made, was NOT buying an AR-15, in 99, for $600 when I came back here to see my Dad after his 2nd heart attack. A buddy of mine had his own gun shop, a Federal License for Fire Arms sales, and made a deal I could not refuse........

and like a dumbass, I refused the deal......still kicking my own ass, every time I get the chance...

Maybe I can get my hands on a RPG, but then I'd rather butcher my own meat, in lieu of turning it into hamburger....LOL...!!
