What team need Greg Oden the most? A lot will say that teams like Boston, Portland, Memphis, Toronto, and the Bobcats despartely need a big man like Oden. I say Philly really, really, needs him the most. Boston, Toronto, Portland, and Charlotte all have a ton of young talent that hasn't blossomed yet, but Philly doesn't have much at all. They are somewhat of an aging team even witht the likes of Iggy, Korver, Carney, etc. Iverson is aging and wants out and he is by far the best and number option on the team. Most will agree that Iggy will not inherate the role as go to player once Iverson is out. Philly's future to me at least looks the darkest out of the lottery bound teams. The reason they are like that is because while Boston, Portland, etc have been stinking up the league the last few years and getting top draft picks, Philly always ends up with that 6th, 7th, or 8th seed in the East and loses in the 1st round of the playoffs. Now where that might help in keeping fans and revenue up, it doesn't nessesarily help the team. Almost every good team right now got thier go to players in the draft. Look at San Antonio. The two times they get the 1st pick, they get Duncan and Robinson. Two players that have been the cornerstone of the franchise. Dallas has Dirk, Phoenix has Amare, LA got Kobe in a draft day trade, the other LA got Brand in a draft day trade, Miami got D-Wade, and Cleveland got LeBron. What I think needs to happen for the sake of 76er fans is go through and get a high draft pick and a good 2nd or 3rd option for Iverson (I know some fillers as well). Then they need to get a high draft pick themselves, then pray the ball bounces right and they get the 1 pick and pray that Oden comes out. This would give 76er fans hope for the future. Well there are other teams that certainly wouldnt turn down Oden. What team do you think need's Oden the most?
I would say Philly. After they trade AI, they won't really have much to build around other than Iguodala (depending on what they get in the trade). I don't think any GM in his right mind would turn down a guy like Greg Oden, but Philly needs someone to build around. Oden is that guy.
Toronto would be an awesome fit for Oden. But chances are they don't get the number one pick two years in a row.Philly is in the most need for a center. Dalambert is not a good NBA player. He is very athletic, but he doesn't have the skills needed to play basketball.

The Spurs, Heat, Mavs, Pistons, Cleveland, and the LA Clipps dont really need a big man like Oden. Not saying that they wouldnt be better with him on the team, but they dont really need him to be a good team. All the teams I listed are already good or great teams with a go to player and a focal point on the offense, whether it be Dirk, Shaq/D-wade, Bron, Brand, or Duncan. The question I pose isnt who would take Oden, its who needs him the most to right thier troubles in the NBA.

Peopel are not gonna be as exited for a sixers game anymore now that AI is leaving. Greg Oden could atleast bring back some fan base
Gotta go with Philly...they have nobody, except Iggy who seems timid to shoot most of the time. Oden would bring some much needed help on the boards and just an all around inside presence. Could open things up for Iggy.

Really though, after just missing out on both David Robinson and Kareem(lottery and coin toss), I think the Suns deserve him more than anybody. The search for a real center continues... It's been 38 years.Edit: Forgot about Philly! Dalembert is dumb, Webber is terrible and as good as gone, Iverson is gone....They really need to get themselves a franchise player and a big man like Oden would really help them.

He would be a nice player down low for Lebron James to get the ball to on the dribble drive. He would also cause the other teams big men to have to stay with him, and not rotate to play help defense. I think a big man like Oden would be huge for the Cavaliers.

I think it's without a doubt boston. Philly could use a player like kevin durant more than oden. They need someone who will be a scoring machine, plus they already have dalembert raking in 10 mill a year. And to be honest, dalembert really isn't THAT bad. He's a very very good shotblocker and pretty good rebounder, once it clicks in his head he'll be a decent double-double threat.as for boston, they have always had great guard play, and their weaknesses have always been size, toughness, rebounding and defense. Oden brings all of this.

It is way to easy to push him under the rim or out of the paint and grab a rebound over Dalembert. I think they could definately use a good Oden type player.
I dont think Memphis really needs Oden nor do I think we will come even close to getting him.But if he goes to Philly...WOW. Iggy and Oden will be great.

They might stand a good chance of getting Oden this year if they want to.
Dont get me wrong.....I would love to have Oden or Durant, but Gasol is going to be back tomorrow and in a few weeks he'll be 100% if all goes right, and he will only make Miller, Warrick and Gay better. I just think we're going to make a run after the allstar break and the highest pick we'll get will maybe be 12th, which isnt lotto IMO.

Sure they will be better, but I'm not thinking they will be that much better. As I said, I don't see you guys finishing anywhere above bottom 8 or 9 in the league, and having some balls to play with in the lottery machine. This is not the same team that Gasol had around him last year, Battier is gone, Jackson is gone, they have to rely on Chucky Atkins alot more. They was a strong defensive team last year, that is gone from this year, and Gasol was not the sole reason for the defense being the way it is. Jones's play is taking many steps backwards. I just don't see this team being overly great this year, scrappy yes, but I don't see any major runs coming from the Grizzlies.
