Why in Hell, does TWB, wait til 17:00 hrs (5 pm) PST, to show a taped delay of this game? Fkng TWB-C...... The game wasn't even noted in any TV guide, or On-Screen TV guide either.....this will be a long tedious hair balding year, at this rate.
You seem like an intelligent fellow who can read and write English. In my post (#14) which you responded to, did I NOT say: "But it IS only his 2nd start in ST, hasn't pitched since last May and having his fastball at 94 mph is very significant as he obviously needs to work on his rhythm, control and location". Believe me, I'm well aware major league hitters can handle fastballs down the middle.....I've also heard it becomes even easier when they're looking for and expecting it.....any truth to that rumor? (chuckle) The significance of his fastball reaching 94? If, if, if, CC makes the good necessary improvement on his control and location, a well placed, good located 94 mph fastball is better than the 89-90 mph fastballs we saw from him last year before he went down with the injury.
anyone but Drew, damn near any Fresh Young Blood would be nice to see at 2nd and SS. I get a feeling this is Drew's job to lose, and Refsnyder's to try to win, yet I don't even feel Joe or anyone else is going to give anyone other than Drew that chance, to play everyday in any INF position. Anyone Please but Drew.......(sure I'd love to see Drew hit .300, win a gold glove, score 100 runs, but we know that is not going to happen.) I'm not holding my breathe for Drew to catch on, and I still don't buy his late arrival to the game, as Boras' puppet hold out, as the reason he was non-productive. I don't buy it at all, it could make for a nice excuse to buy time, yet I don't see it, as the cause of Drew's dismal performance last year.
Today's headline, Sabathia "Despite giving up 3 home runs, I'm feeling stronger". Whatever helps you sleep CC.
...I don't know why but it seems that for awhile now CC looked respectable and then all of a sudden, here comes the inevitable one inning meltdown...kinda weird.
...not sure how good or bad CC might be this year but I've got to think that if nothing else, he'll still be tough vs LHed batters.
Good point, CC's southpaw hook still has extreme lateral movement on it..... I think he could succeed with little fan fare as a Southpaw Specialist..... Tho' I'd love to see the Cy Young CC, just one more year, but that's obviously not an option.... location, location, location. That's what I expect he thought after walking off the mound.
