A scientist was left dazzled when he came face to face with the little and very rare mammal - Ili Pika, a rarely seen animal with little bear-like face. Scientist Li Weidong from the Xinjiang Institute for Ecology and Geography, went for an expedition in 2014 and stumbled upon the cute mammal. The scientist discovered the species name Ili Pika in 1983. He had first discovered this species almost 40 years ago and he himself re- discovered them in 2014.
