<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The players are what bring the money in to the NBA. If they are unhappy with the ball that they are using, that should be enough for Stern to change it back.</div>I disagree, if players bi*ch and complain, they should not be rewarded and should not be granted anything they wish. I mean like I said, if Stern were to listen to the players there would be changes in other departments. Meaning a league run by it's players. Some of whom who are immature and should simply be quiet and play the game. I don't mind insight from players, but ranting to the media and causing a stir is not the way to go. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I have a hard time believing "cuts" were the only thing that made Stern bring the new ball back. Im sure that he got tired of people talking about it...</div>So tell me when do these dress codes and zero tolerance rules end? Since their obviously being talked about in a negative fashion. I mean shouldn't Stern be changing them as we speak? Also, wanted to note why I feel Stern did not make this decision on players complaints. No commisionner is going to cave in and look weak in his own league. He's going to wait for a legitimate excuse to appear(cuts) and use that as his way out.

Their is a complete difference with dress codes, and if you knew what you were talking about, David Stern told the refs to lighten up and they have. Look at how many techs were called within the first couple of weeks to know. The players have the right to speak up when they feel a new addition is affecting their play. Notice they dont argue much about the dress code, or other things....The ball is a big part of the game and they have the right to have it like they want it.

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Rok @ Dec 11 2006, 08:04 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>The cuts on the hands seem to have been the key in moving back to the old ball. I don't see anything else wrong with the new ball. Players complaints on the ball I believe had no effect in this decision. If you believe Stern was persuaded by that, your gullible because many other rules/decisions would be revoked then for that same reason.</div>Yeah this was the main reason for going back to the old ball. If players are getting cut up and sh*t by a basketball, thats like hazordous and F*cked up lol. Good move by Stern to go back to the old ball.

Well Idk about yall but for those of you who don't have the new ball now it's best to get it now cause if there not using it anymore they will most likley stop selling them as well. Who knows it may be worth something one day.

Look at how many techs were called within the first couple of weeks to know.</div>If your going by that assessment, look at the number of complaints towards the ball to now. Their considerably down and players have adapted to the point where there's no significant change in play. Only until it was known to produce cuts on players' hands did Stern decide to make the change. If he was going to make the change solely on the players' bitching, he would have did it when it was at it's peak, the beginning of preseason. Why would he wait a couple months, then make the change after the complaints have died down? It's no coincidence he decided to wait for an excuse, and he got one with the cuts. Therefore made the change. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>The players have the right to speak up when they feel a new addition is affecting their play.</div>Of course they do, I never said they don't. I feel they should not exploit that right where every complaint they have needs to be resolved. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Well Idk about yall but for those of you who don't have the new ball now it's best to get it now cause if there not using it anymore they will most likley stop selling them as well.
