and has been every single game he's started Hunwick. Hunwick was pathetic today and is vs. every big, physical team. Instead of AV committing to developing McIlrath like he did Hayes, Fast and Miller, he's screwed the kid over. Now, if Klein comes back it's OK. However, having Hunwick in the playoffs is death. He sucks.

Whole team didn't show today. Hunwick has played really well overall since Klein has been out. Today he was bad, no two ways about it.

Thankfully Klein will be back for the playoffs, so it will be a moot point.

Personally I think AV blew an opportunity to give Allen or McIlrath NHL experience instead of retreads like Kostka or Hunwick, you can never develop enough talent these days. I guess his different approaches toward different players must be related to their practice ethic or off-ice activities. I thought AV was especially tough on Miller compared to Fast or Hayes but to JT's credit he played his way into a regular spot. Glass gets a mere $3900 fine for baptizing McQuaid with a butt end at the end of yesterday's game, money well spent against the NHL's protected cheap shotters.
