QUOTE (Kid Chocolate)

Also, on the main page, why isn't there an option to go to page 2, or more of threads?
It used to be there, and unless I'm blind, I think it's gone.

SportsTwo -> Recent Activity
There you can page 2, page 3, etc.

Can that not be added on the main page too? I usually come straight to the main page. I know it used to be there, not sure why it would have been removed.
It'd be cool if we could select what news feeds we want to come in, and then have those feeds be displayed in our portals, so we can have easy access at a glance of all articles we'd be interesting in.
Personalization is on the list of things to be done. That means choosing your favorite sports, etc. The member page and the user portal are going to get huge upgrades at some point.

I think a right side bar could be worked into the site.
With the smaller default font, a right sidebar would be worked in, and we would still have the same amount of words per a line as we are used to on Put upcoming game, last game, current game. Standings, relevant links, etc. on the right sidebar.
And I'm sure your aware of this (if it hasn't already been created), but in addition to merging options, there needs to be a moving thread option. So say, that big Fiba thread could be moved to the FIBA forum.

I just noticed that the Historical Stats Database has been up.
My only irk with it is the years. I think all the years have to be bumped up one.
When you think of last season, you get the 2007 MVP, Dirk, 2007 NBA Champs- Spurs. I think it should be labelled 2007, instead of 2006, with each season getting bumped up a year.

Alright, know its still in the distant future, but a more thorough look at the content that I'd like to see on my Portal, through customization.
Favorites- I love the idea of Favorites, it works good. Marking for threads/forums. Its already on the portal which is very nice. But seeing as how this is a HUGE site, in terms of scope, I think it would be good, for if on the portal page, the Favorites could get separated into three categories, Forums, Web Pages (Like the FIBA main page), and User Posted Contents (Threads, Blogs, Websites, Polls).
ON TV- This is actually one of my favorite features of the site. It gives a good overview of whats on TV. When bringing to this feature to our user portals, it'd be nice if we could filter the content by the following: Sport, League, Team, Channel. Now with the single ON TV page, its important for it to be national tv only. But when bringing it over to portal pages, where its for the user thats using it, it'd be nice if you could have the local channels in there.
Sportsbook Tickets- Self explanatory.
Scoreboards- Have you choose scoreboards for entire leagues, specefic teams (last game, current game, next game type). Can do it multiple sports/teams.
Standings- For specefic divisions, entire leagues.
Magic Numbers- This would be a really cool feature, and unique as well among sports sites. It'd be real cool if you could filter certain magic numbers for teams. Like say at the start of the Bulls season, I set in magic numbers for #1 seed, division winner, best record in NBA, and playoff spot. That'd be really cool. On the flip side, if your team sucks, setting magic numbers for certain draft picks...well not draft picks, since there is a lottery, but you know what I mean.
League Leaders- Have league leaders in whatever stat you want to filter, with other filters like post allstar break, last 5 games, before the allstar break, eastern conference, western conference, etc.
Player Cards- Player cards, with their basic statistics on it (for like basketball, have a picture of Gordon's headshot, his #, team on the card, college, etc...and then the basic stats like PPG, FG%, RPG, APG, SPG, BPG).
Statistics- Filterable player statistics that go beyond there player card.
Friends List (as said before)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now thats the Portal....now looking at the member page. I already mentioned the comments wall, and the biography information stuff built in.
Now a new one I thought of would be a personal blog that you have on your member page.

12 hour clock on the last edited of a thread?
Ignore feature?

Bueller? Bueller?

When there is a new post or comment in a poll or blog, make it bolded just like a thread to signify something new.
Not ignoring these suggestions. I have a soccer site that we're importing and then another one shortly after that. Then I'll jump on as many of these as I can get done.

This forum is well on it's way to being one of the best on the web, however I feel as though one department it needs to improve in is it's graphics section. Maybe find a couple of designer's who are willing to complete requests and showcase their work. It's not a neccesity as many forums such as ESPN and RealGM don't even have a GFX section but it could work.
The 2nd site I mentioned has a big graphics team and we're absolutely going to push both the graphics central and writers' central sections of the site.

Is it possible to slow down the rolling sports ticker?Right now it's going way faster than my eyes can read. Also is it possible, when clicking "tab" when you're done typing text, for it to go to the "Submit Reply" first instead of going up top to "Add to Favorites."I am using Opera so...
All good ideas in the first post espeacially the User CP.

An Idea,

What about a Shoutbox for when theres no need to post new threads for a chat.
