Although CC did think that giving David Alan Grier his own show was a smart move... The Sports Show could've been great, though. Norm MacDonald should always be on television in some capacity. His video podcast is pretty amazing.
Never like TDS, mainly because Stewart annoys me. But to be fair, most opinionated 'news' shows are just not for me.
I'm sure Dennis Miller's ears have perked up tonight. Upcoming Bush & Clinton election, Netanyahu in the news--it'd be like he never left.
#1/: Any time I've seen Brian Williams on a talk show or what have you, I thought he was kinda funny, seems self aware and willing to poke fun at himself. #2/: would norm MacDonald do it? I would ejaculate if so. #3/: I always got the feeling john Stewart isn't very funny. I enjoy his takedowns, but his jokes are...bad. #4/: craig kilborn? #5/: not enjoying the nightly show either, its like he's trying to copy bill maher, but he's even worse somehow. His delivery gets on my nerves. #6/: I guess I could just google the Brian Williams thing but I heard he got caught lying about something, bummer for him, but I don't think i care. he's basically told what to say anyways, and his integrity doesn't really affect that. Plus I don't watch the 8 o'clock news or whatever the fuck he's on.
Williams is affable; certainly more so than Matt Lauer. Norm has a lot going for him--in fact he'd be perfect. He's a veteran fake news man. Excellent comedian. Also very good at interviewing. Did you know his brother is the senior Washington correspondent for the CBC? If TDS was willing to take on a religious conservative as the host it would probably work out for them but... seems unlikely.
South African comedian Trevor Noah will replace Stewart. http://www.nytimes.com/2015/03/31/a...to-succeed-jon-stewart-on-the-daily-show.html
