trade him to the Yankees, Kris Bryant would be a starter now! LOL I love what the Cubbies are doing. Just don't like their manager.
I remember a post you made last year when the Yankees came back to beat the Rays whom had held them hitless until late in the game. I remember you commented that Maddon was a smug bastard. I don't like Maddon much myself, and though the Cubs may try we'll find that the GMs' of the Pirates and Cardinals are sharp dealers who will match the Cubs deal for deal unlike Mr. Cashman.
...Theo is simply doing his job, which is to do what's best for the organization. Kris Bryant is a Scott Boras client and Boras is known for taking his clients to free agency and does not favor having his clients signing long term contracts before then. Theo is playing by the rules set forth in the CBA and is only sending Bryant down to the minors in order to get an extra year of control...exactly what he should do, IMO. ...Bryant is a future star and will only be in the minors for a very short time. And if Boras was not his agent this probably would not be happening and Kris would be starting the season on the Cubs' roster instead of being in the minors purely on a technicality.
