Also, in 2011, Dallas was the team everyone wanted to face in the first round and most people picked us to beat them. That Dallas team won the championship.
I think the best case scenario is that The Clippers pass the Rockets who are playing the Spurs twice next week. Rockets fall to 5 and we play them in the playoffs again. We can beat them again.
Changed my mind. Can't beat the Clippers AND the refs. Clippers have to lead the league in moving picks, run blocking, pushing, grabbing, holding, and "creating" "fouls". There were at least six egregiously bad calls last night that did in fact affect the momentum and outcome of the game. You'd have to play a perfect game to overcome that, and no game or team is perfect.
Nah fuck that!!!! I refuse to believe the Clips can beat us in a 7 game series. Every game, they were hitting the 3 at a insanely high percentage. It was well below their season average. With the right adjustments, and knowing they can't sustain that level of outside shooting, we should handle them in 6. You take away half those outside makes and they get blown out. No one can make 60% from three in 7 games. Impossible!
MEM, LAC, SAS, HOU, DAL Memphis is too physical so I'd rather not play them in round 1. Let them fight it out with another team first. Clippers are difficult because we have no answer for Chris Paul and they shoot so well from midrange. I'd rather play the Spurs even if they might be a better team than the Clippers it would mean more to beat them. Clippers are no fun to watch with their complaining and hack a Jordan I'd much rather watch a Spurs series. It would mean a lot more to take down the champs who have been playing great the last month with a healthy Kawhi.
I would love to play HOU or DAL (and only one of those two) in the first round personally. Not all that realistic (although it could be - things change on a daily basis).
