Offense: It's down to five men. Marques Colston, Reggie Bush, Maurice Jones-Drew, Vince Young, and Devin Hester. I'm thinking that Marques Colston wins if the Saints make the playoffs, otherwise Vince Young, because you cannot ignore 6-2 in his last 8 games.Defense: I honestly have no idea. I'm going out on a limb and saying Kamerion Wimbley, because of 7.5 sacks, but that's a pretty bad prediction. Who do you think will win each of them?
Demeco Ryans or Mark Anderson for defense, but they obviously have no shot.Anyways, it's definitely between those guys you said on offense. I narrow it down to Young and Hetser. As much I love Devin Hester (former cane), I think Vince Young deserves it. Returning kicks is a tough job and Hester has been incredible (never thought he'd able to carry over his talent returning kicks that well from college into the NFL), but what Vince has done with such a terrible Tennessee offense filled with no name players is even more incredible. The Titans were arguably the worst team in the league before Vince Young took over. Ever since though, they've completely turned it around and are actually in the playoff hunt with a 6-7 record.
I like Maurice Jones, Vince Young, and Colston. I'm not sure which one I'd give it to, but definitely one of them.
Offensively, I just have to go with Vince Young. Bush and Colston have been great but, VY has really put on some incredibly great performances and his record says it all.Defensively, I truly have no idea, there is no one guy who stands out.

(Wimbley attended FSU, I'm not a Browns fan.)Offense, Colston has been out, and I don't know when he's coming back. Right now I'll say Vince Young because he's brought his team back in three straight games to win.
Unfortunately, the real rookie of the year is none other than Bears PR/CB Devin Hester. He has played phenominal, with 4 return touchdowns this year! Most returners are lucky to score once! For the Offensive Rookie, its probably either Matt Leinart or Vince Young, but Reggie Bush could win it based on fan votes. Colston is deserving of it as well but he has been injured lately. Defensively, unfortunately it could be another Bear, Mark Anderson, who has 10 sacks this year playing on one of the best lines in the NFL, which says alot about how good he is.
I would love to see Wimbley win D-# rookie of the year. Its not hard to see Vince Young as Rookie of the year locked up. So I hope he wins something.
I am going to say both Mark Anderson and Vince Young will win rookies of the year, even though I would like Devin Hester to win one of those.I would like to point out one minor flaw that Vikesrule said though, Hester has 6 return touchdowns this year which has set a record. Also, look at some of the situations with which he has returned those kicks. His two kickoff returns for touchdowns this past monday was a main reason for the Bears having won that game. The punt return against the Cardinals was a huge return, that got the Bears their win. His catching the field goal and returning it for a touchdown was awesome against the Giants. Hester is a huge reason for the Bears being where they are at right now. I would like for him to win rookie of the year in some fashion, but I really think the voters are going to go with the more well known Vine Young.
Reggie Bush: 125 Carries 405 Yards 4 TD's - 79 catches (2nd in NFL) 687 Yards 2 TD's. I have a hard time not giving it to Bush, his numbers don't tell you the huge impact he has on the game...all the fakes they've had to him that have resulted in TD's and big plays for other players...etc...He's a huge reason why the Saints offense is as prolific as it is...everybody's always watching Bush which makes things easier for others. I like Marques Colston but overall, Reggie Bush has made the bigger impact for that team. Defensive rookie of the year is DeMeco Ryans. 127 tackles and 3.5 sacks...He's been HUGE for the Texans defense, they finally have a linebacker (although Morlon Greenwood is pretty good).<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (valo35 @ Dec 13 2006, 09:23 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I am going to say both Mark Anderson and Vince Young will win rookies of the year, even though I would like Devin Hester to win one of those.I would like to point out one minor flaw that Vikesrule said though, Hester has 6 return touchdowns this year which has set a record. Not to mention has won a few games for the Titans with some huge plays. If Hester was an every down player he would get more consideration.
