I hope not he's been treated pretty well by this organization. But until he's signed. There is that possibility. I also think it comes down to if he thinks he's good enough with the current core to go the distance. On this roster, he's the man. That's not changing anytime soon

The defense stunk tonight but if they had their starting 5 together i say they win that game going away. Just because they lost tonight does not mean Aldridge is leaving and if they lose in the first round it will not make any difference. if he is going to leave he will leave. They would have traded him if Olshey felt there was any chance of him leaving. I am pretty sure he will at least first sign the biggest contract the Blazers have ever offered any player at any time.
What is state tax like in Oregon? How would his max deal with the Blazers compare to a max deal from someone like the Mavs after taxes ... I don't believe there is a state tax in Texas.

It's possible he could bolt, but not likely. He's comfortable here, and that means a lot to him. He wants to win here, and nobody can pay him as much as we can. That said, if somebody does us in the 1st round like the Spurs did us in Rd 2 last year he may have 2nd thoughts about re-signing.
Although I don't believe LMA will be making decisions about where to play based on taxes, I do think that he does in fact pay more taxes playing here than if he played in Texas. barfo
5/127 sounds a hell of a lot better then 4/88 to a player who not only is comfortable and likes it here but also a player who doesnt make a lot in endorsements.
Aldridge has to show that he can get the Blazers to the finals multiple times before we can call him the best blazers ever. It's not just about stats.
If the Blazers loose in the first round and the Spurs make it all the way to the finals then we are in trouble. I'm sure Aldridge will not be ignoring that one.
