No. Look at what happened to Love when he left his team to play with the best player in the world.

Too soon to say that. Love very well might end up in the finals this year with a chance to win. The Cavs are playing very good ball right now and they matchup well against a lot of teams. Not only that even if they don't win it all this year they will have enough success that Love would be a fool to leave most likely. That team might gel and win it all in the next 2-3 years. I personally think all the Love and Lebron talk is a media thing and we as fans of other teams just want it to be true sooo very badly. Those guys are pro's trying to win. James will be in the hunt this year, Bet on it.

The real question might be: Will Mathews be the same player after his injury?

Yes, its possible. But, its also unlikely.

We can offer him more years and more money guaranteed.
With us, he has the chance to set all but just a few all-time records/legacy.
With us, he continues to be a leader on a top 6 all-nba squad.
There are very few teams that would offer him the chance to have both a great team next year AND max dollars.

    I think he stays.

I am sure Larcus will entertain some offers but the only situation I can see him leaving for might be Dallas. Are the Knicks or the Lakers going to give him a better chance to win? No. And no team in the league pay him more than Allen can. If he does move to a bigger club than it will be for other reasons.

If the Spurs and Pop come knocking after a deep run by SAS and an early exit by Portland? I would not be surprised to see him leave. I would hate to see it happen, but it is possible.

Call me a skeptic but I doubt Portland is in Kevin Love's top 5 destinations. I take him at his word that Portland would be nice place to close out his career.

With that said, I think LA if he decides to leave would be cooperative with the idea of working out a sign and trade.

I simply don't think his decision will be made based on this year's playoffs. I think it will be made based on money, legacy, and his perception of his chances in NEXT year's playoffs, on the various teams that submit offers to him. Because of the way things change, and our injury situation, I think this year's playoffs will have little to do with that analysis.

Well we might have 3 teams to choose from if he does decide to bolt, agree to a sign & trade deal. Houston, San Antonio and Dallas.

We should set up a fake moving company on Craigslist. Wait for him to contact us to move his stuff to the new city of the team he signs with and we hold his stuff hostage until he agrees to come back to Portland.

I think you can take a signed LA by himself and trade him for a player or group of players. Maybe one those teams has something on there we want. Maybe they don't. For the record, I don't think you can take a resigned LA and trade him for a resigned Kevin Love.

If the Blazers lose the first round, I don't think it will be LA leaving, more like Stotts.
