There's about a dozen of us here & its for the most part a good board. And no we're not always going to agree with each other all the time but, without mentioning anyone's name we don't need to be confrontational & argumentative in every thread. Here's my suggestion, a new season starts on Monday, the game threads alone will give us plenty to talk about, so lets put an end to all the drama & make a clean slate. After all, if this board is going to attract new posters we have to stop being petty amongst ourselves. Just a thought. So here's to an enjoyable season. GO YANKEES!

...really?...well, let's see; 1...rick started a thread politely asking people to refrain from "petty" BS for the sake of the board. 2...for your own reasons, you decided to bring up an argument from last season about rick also following the Giants in addition to the Yanx. This was obviously done with forethought to solicit a reaction from rick. 3... by definition, that is "trolling".
Your assumption on point (2) is incorrect, which unravels your 3 step logic argument. I asked Rick a question which was a legitimate question as that subject also created disharmony. You can't pick and chose what which petty BS to exclude...thus my question.

Wasn't the purpose of the OP to "clean the slate"? Let's clean it then. I'm happy to drop the PED, KLong, Tix revenue arguments....and have. My suggestion, if this is to be a Yankees fan oriented board.... Let's do that. I have no issues with general MLB topics related to certain players as well as rival team oriented discussions. But sometimes from my perspective, there is too much NL West fandom here and that could be a turnoff to attracting new blood. Its not personal, and I applaud you taking the high road into the season start. I feel bad that I wasn't taken seriously here and gave the impression of trolling...but that wasn't my intent at all. You can reflect on my suggestion, apply it or tell me to fuck off. Either way is fine. I've said what I feel needed to be said. Go Yanks!

Oh so by cleaning the slate you mean for people to stop posting petty things that bother you? Look if you're going to create an OP on this subject, you damn well better practice what you preach. Right? Rick I really don't care....just using this as an example. There are petty arguments that piss you off. But you need to be open minded enough to realize that there is shit you do that equally pisses off others. Otherwise we end up having Rick's board...which can be entertaining but don't expect too much more traffic. Like I said before....you can take my comments to heart and let this go. Or you can turn this its one of those petty arguments you proclaim to clean off the slate. You get to set the example right here.
I agree on Game Threads, but we've gotta' agree to disagree on NL West or any other Division chat on OTHER Posts. I don't see how talking about other Teams would not effect any new member. In fact I believe such talk of other Teams, Divisional races and Rivalries, will BRING ABOUT NEW MEMBERS........ I don't see you as a Troll Tom, in fact its nice to have your personal patented insights, and quips......the person who's a Troll is not you at all......its.......I'm not naming names, but keep in mind: One can utilize the "Ignore Feature" and not be bothered by Trolls.......or One can simply take their stand to defend their points of view..... Overall, I don't like having to use the "Ignore Feature", yet on occassion have to, for my own peace of mind, ie, when our "Self Anointed Anal-yst" begins to talk as if He's the only moron who knows a damn thing about MLB or the Yanx in General..... that being said, "let the games begin"...... Besides, how can One NOT mention: Trout as the #1 rated player going into this year, or Kershaw perhaps the very best SP in this era, or bashing Cano......? (even tho' IMO, the Yanx should of tied Robby down, long prior to last year)..........
