http://la.suntimes.com/la-sports/lo...202441/blazers-lamarcus-aldridge-come-lakers/ *facepalm* No wonder Laker fans are so delusional.
It is one thing leaving Portland for another team (example the Spurs or Mavs) and it is another leaving us for the Lakers. While I would be disappointed in Aldridge if he left us for the former, I would straight up hate him if he left us for the Lakers.
Yeah, LaMarcus wants to take about 10 steps backwards (and that is saying a lot considering LA's history of bouncing back from down periods).
Your comment is misleading. It doesn't explain the fact that they're delusional, it merely re-enforces it. FAMS.
Jay Z starts a new music distribution service and suddenly the Blazers don't let LMA play against the Nets. This can only mean that not only does LMA want to leave the Blazers, he wants to rap with Jay Z.
I obviously don't want it to happen. we've been fucked many times and the lakers have often gotten who they've wanted, just hope it doesn't.
If LA really wants to win, can't imagine him turning down biggest dollars from PDX to go to LA, FAMS. We have more money and more potential.
They've got the money. But I can't see him going there. If the Blazers are going to lose him, I think it will be to one of the Texas teams
Aldridge is my all time favorite Blazer ever, but if he ever went to L.A., he would be soooooo dead to me.
I've never heard of the LA Sun Times. There are zero comments on that article. Must not get much traffic.
He is right there with a short handful of Blazers for me too and I expect him earn the number one rank outright before he is done. Part of the reason he has gained this position is because he is a smart man of good character. He earns his position. Throwing that away for LA glitter seems out of character as well as foolish. All he needs here to win a championship is a championship coach and one player to equal his dedication. Together they could take this team into lock down mode and win by will. He needs way more than that in LA. He won't be doing anything dumb.
All in all, it is a great compliment to LMA. The writer acknowledges the unlikeliness, but gushes over what a great guy LMA is.
The thing that's scary is he lives in LA (Newport Beach) actually. If he wanted his kids to go to school here (I dunno if they do), then it would make sense being on a big stage like LA as well. Also the whole LA in LA marketing thing would get him a lot of money.
