Has it ever happened in the East? I don't think so. The last time the Eastern Conference had all 8 playoff seeds finish above .500 was 10 years ago. Going back at least a decade, the West is more likely to have eight 50-win teams than the East is to have eight 40-win teams.

I'm just trying to go into the post season thinking we're all starting out 0-0 and we'll have a shot at a long win streak when it counts

This can't be right. I thought the Grizzlies and every team in the league will be licking their chops to devour the Blazers in the playoffs? I read it right here on this board.

I would love it if the Spurs dispose of the Clippers. I'd rather face the Spurs in round three than the Clips. For one thing, in the unlikely event we were to lose the series, I wouldn't mind as much if its the Spurs.

"Grizzlies would be about the worst matchup for the Trail Blazers, as they swept Portland 0-4 this season and have won nine of the last 11 meetings over the past three seasons"

    Casey Holdahl

    Couldn't agree more

The year Dallas beat us in the first round, Portland swept them in the regular season and won 8 of their last 10 meetings against them.

What does that tell you? Regular season don't mean shit!

Did I forget to mention that Houston had our number in the regular season, had a better last 10 against us too? How did that work out for Houston last season in the first round, even when they had HCA?

I agree that the playoffs can be a whole new story when it comes to match ups but I think another big factor is did we learn lessons from last year's playoffs and can we apply them to this year's playoffs. Good teams. Build from year to year.

Not entirely.. We actually split the season series. But we did have a 8-2 against them in the last 10 games.

Out of all the teams we have a chance of playing (so not DAL) then I would like to play HOU the most.

Dont care who we get anymore. Just want the playoffs to start. I have this sneaking feeling that Dame and LA are going to be MONSTERS in the playoffs and we will have 2 of the three best players on the floor regardless of the matchup

If Spurs and Clips tie for 2-3, Spurs would be the 2 thanks to being a division champ. Except the SW division tie breakers still aren't settled.

For instance, if all three finish 56-26, the Spurs would win due to better record against the other two teams involved (since they would have to beat Houston two more times to reach that record). But if Houston drops one more game and finishes behind both SA and MEM, the Grizz would win the division thanks to conference record.

On top of that, all the teams still play New Orleans once more, and they're still fighting for their playoff lives, so they'll undoubtedly have something to say about all this. Man, that Southwest division is crazy!

If both SAS and LAC finish at 56-26, the second seed goes to SAS as division winner. That's the first tie breaker (assuming, as you predict, SAS takes the SW Division from the Rockets).
