Huge game tonight as the Pens are at the Sens.

For all of those that want to avoid the Bruins in round 1, tonight is your night to root hard for the Sens. If the Pens win tonight I think it will be a longshot we play them round 1, with the Sabres sitting there in the Pens last game. Plus the Sens will be DONE if they lose tonight.

So if you want the Pens, root hard for the Sens tonight otherwise very little shot we get the Pens, and no shot we get the Sens. And after seeing the Canes lose at Buffalo last night, the hopes for them to beat the Wings in their two games don't look great. So a Pens win tonight and decent shot we get the Bruins.

    SO....GO SENS GO!!!

For the record I think the Pens win tonight.

I just want to Sens to win so the playoff picture remains unclear. I'm hoping for as many games as possible on Saturday being must-win games for these teams.

The Atlantic division will very interesting as well. TB holds the tiebreaker so if they both win Thursday night it will all come down to Saturday.

And to me if TB gets home ice over the Habs, TB wins that series for sure. They beat the Habs 5-0 this season. If they get home ice they will win that series. Even if Montreal gets home ice I think TB beats them.

    I say TB/NYR ECF.

Going by that logic we would have no chance against tampa either as don't think we won a game against them.

What logic? I just think TB is better than Montreal. I just mentioned they were 5-0 against the Habs. That doesn't mean they will beat them because of that. We also haven't played TB this year (since Dec 1). So I don't put much stock in games played over 4 months ago.

I don't mind playing TB, as long as we're rested. I think we're much deeper than them, but their forecheck would give us issues. If we can avoid Boston in the first round, I'd love to see a TB/Boston or TB/MTL series which would inevitably go 6 or 7 and wear both teams out. The only reason I was adamant about bein concerned about us against good forechecking teams is because I know I can't handle another back and forth, 7 game series for the entire playoffs. I'm sure most here would agree. I'd love a nice four or five game series in round one and two for once lol

That's why I like this board. We can all be sort of mad at each other one day and the next day we move on and hope we keep winning.

For sure. I love good debate/discussion. We don't all have to agree on everything all the time.

For the record, the Pens seldom lose in Ottawa. But, tonight I
    think Ottawa beats the Pens.

I JUST COMMITTED FOOT IN MOUTH DISEASE. UGH! Pens up 3-0 in first.
    Crosby is insane.

2-0 Pens 10 minutes in. LONG way to go and far from over, but like I said above I think the Pens win tonight...I really do. I just don't fully buy the Sens.

Okay, 2-0 Pens. If Ottawa comes back to win, It will deflate the Pens and no playoffs. Come on Ottawa ...

3-0...felt it coming. We now know the 8 playoff teams. If the Wings beat the Canes tonight I think we are getting the Bruins.

Ottawa's playing like crap. Giving Pens way to much open ice, on either end

I was going to ask how do we get the Wings. Thank you for answering that before I asked! Haha

What're the chances we play the Isles in the first round?

Sens battling back. Not done yet. We need the Sens or Canes to win tonight to avoid the Bruins IMO. Unless the Bruins win at Wash and/or at TB (along with a win at Florida).
