Really? Sounds to me like he's suggesting they want to play him into the best shape possible for the playoffs. It's an optimistic forward looking statement.
At this point I imagine it goes something like this. Rose is a go? Ok, what are the minutes restrictions? What are the back-to-back restrictions? Then he can plan accordingly based on those answers.
Right, and KC is a solid beat reporter so you know his first question after hearing Rose is a go, is going to be "will he play tomorrow"? I guess it makes sense in context. Thibodeau still should have ducked it all things being equal.
I think he looked fine, considering the layoff. He showed speed and ability to get to the basket. His shot looks really rusty.
