Go Sens Go.... Nash, Zucc, and Staal all resting tonight. And some more bad news...I just got tickets for game 1 (should be next Thursday). $275 a pop...
How many of you held your breath when Zinbanejad fell on Hank in the first period? I know I did. Take nothing for granted. I wanted Hank to sit this one out. But.................. he plays on. Score: 0-0 end of one.
I know Al...I have been bad luck this season. Hopefully the streak ends next week. I am sure he will sit Saturday along with 3 different guys.
I am honestly just fine with them losing this game. For one, keeps pressure on Boston and Pitt. Secondly, it forces the Isles to actually have to get into the playoffs and not back in.
Ottawa should be ashamed of themselves if they don't win. You're playing a game against a team resting players.
Calgary up 2-0 in the first over LA. Tonight could be it for the Kings. Bruins tied 1-1 with Florida.
Kings lose in regulation and they are elminated. That would be a wow. 2-1 Panthers. If the Bruins lose the Sens would need 1 point at Philly to clinch a playoff spot and most likely would play us. I will say this right now, we play the Sens and we win in 5 tops.
If that score holds, you have to figure the Sens would get 1 point at Philly with their playoff lives on the line. But who knows what will happen. I didn't think the Bruins would no show tonight.
I 100% thought they'd make the playoffs. And I thought the past few days we would play them, but Boston is not that good this season. If we got them in round 1 we'd beat them. Rather play the Sens, but we wouldn't lose to the Bruins IMO. 3-2 now...not over yet.
It is pretty crazy. Who knows which team we will play. Detroit and the Isles 98 points each. Ottawa 97 points. Pens 96 points. Bruins 95 points. The winner of the Isles/Pens game tomorrow night is locked in higher than 8 IMO. If you figure worst case the Pens win at Buffalo Saturday, then Ottawa needs 1 point OR Boston needs to miss out on 1 point to elminate Boston. I now think we will play the Pens (if they end at 98 points) OR the Sens (if they end at 97 points). I expect TB to beat Boston since they are still playing for the Atlantic, but if Montreal goes up early at Toronto TB will have nothing to play for. Then Boston can clearly win that game, forcing Ottawa to get a point at Philly, which is no lock with Mason in net. This really is wide open right now with regards to which team we'll play. I think we'll go into Saturday with potential to play 4 teams (I don't count the Isles/Pens winner...even if it is the Pens I think they'll get to 100 if they beat the Isles since they will beat the Sabres). We can also play Detroit as well. Isles beat the Pens, Pens beat the Sabres and end at 98, Ottawa beats the Flyers and ends at 99, Detroit gets beat at Carolina and ends at 98. We'd play the Wings since the Pens would own the TB due to an extra ROW. Crazy..
Chuck, stop making predictions. You said the Sens were done like a week ago. And of course LA makes a one goal game. So sick of this team. Calgary, please hold on so we don't have to see LA in the playoffs.
Like I said, I 100% thought the Bruins would make the playoffs. And over the past week I thought we would play them. I did not expect them to no show against the Caps and Panthers. And then the Sens get a huge break and play us after we clinched everything and had nothing to play for. Good for them for taking full advantage of it. It is wide open now with regards to which team we'll play. Could be any of 4 teams (the winner tonight we cannot play once the Pens beat the Sabres tomorrow). Bruins, Sens, Wings, Isles/Pens. I am not going to even try and predict which team we'll play of that group. The Wings can lose at the Canes. The Sens could beat Philly. Boston can upset TB. Anything can happen in one game. Crazy finish.
