So we if Afflalo is done, what are our chances of getting out of the first round? CJ is gonna get some serious experience.
My only enjoyment for the rest of the year is CJ's development and getting a ton of burn especially in the playoffs. Just have to retain Aldridge and Wes and we could be really good next season. Of course we also need Lillard to figure it out. If he is going to keep chuckings 3s he needs to start making them because a lot of times they are deep, not very good shot 3s.
Is it wrong that I'm more upset we gave up a 1st round pick in 2016/17 than a possible First Round exit? Obviously, at the time, the AAA trade was a no-brainer, but if we lose him for the postseason ... well, that's just the ol' Trail Blazers luck isn't it?
In my opinion any wins in the playoffs are now a bonus. No pressure. I hope CJ dominates a few games, and Leonard gets meaningful playoff time. Some good CAN come out of this season as we gear up for next year.
To me, the trade just became a bust, I didn't think he was playing very well anyway, but now it just looks really bad.
Next year? Man, with these ridiculous injuries popping up every time we start building some serious momentum (espeically this late in the season), it's depressing to think that the same thing can happen next year too ugh. I'm just so tired of watching 82 games, and then losing key guys right when it matters, making it all pointless... I guess last year really was an anomaly.
With AAA (likely out ... assuming) and Wes out, Harden would feast. If we're going to lose in the First Round, I'd rather not give Rockets fans the satisfaction of beating us.
We can take a lot of good from that. But... I'm taking a lot of bad from the amount of injuries sustained this year. It's been never ending and continuous.
