What do you think Ragnar has in store for Floki? Odd that he would sacrafice so many of his own people to get revenge on Floki....... unless he knew it was a loosing battle that had to happen anyway and better to have Floki to blame. History has the vikings taking Paris on this raid so I wonder what is up Ragnars sleeve.

On a funny side note, this is the first show that Ive ever watched that makes me feel like history is my entertainment spoiler.

TBQH I'm about a season and a half behind in GOT and probably won't get caught up.

My problem with GoT is that it is ultimately turning into a dragon vs zombie fight that is dragging out for 7 seasons. Also since its based purely on fantasy then the author can literally do anything he wants and is not bound by any type of reality in his story writing. Vikings at least has to stay close to history. GoT is well written and entertaining though.

Ragnar is gonna kill Floki eventually, he killed his bro. I'm still sad about Athelstan. I hate Floki.

The Vikings seem to feel let down by their gods lately. Maybe some of them will convert to Christianity soon?

Eventually they all convert but Im not sure at what point that happens, could be years. Here is an interesting wiki about Rollo and what may be in store for him and I think they touched on this with his moment with the French queen.

This show could literally go on for years after Ragnar dies. Some of his sons and brother were just as famous as he was. In fact Ive read that some people think that this whole series is just build up to the story of his sons, especially Ivar the Boneless. Ivar was the son who was born with the mystery illness and was visited by the stranger who took away his pain. He rose to become one of the most feared viking raiders in history and the commander of the The Great Heathen Army, leading the revenge assault on England to avenge Ragnars death.

oh and by the way, I love Floki, or rather love to hate him. Ill be dissapointed when he dies, but I have a feeling its going to be an epic fall for him.

Vikings is not really historically based as Lothbrook is a fictional character.

He is of legend but his children are real historical figures. It is unknown if he was real or mythical though, so there is an element of magic to his story.

I watched Season 1 on Comcast Xfinity On Demand this weekend. Great show! It reminds me of Sons of Anarchy.

Wow, fantastic. I wonder how Floki is going to like that? lol. Oh yea and that big fucking spike ball was the best part of the episode! Only 1 episode left?! They need to expand next season for a few more episodes.

haha good call, no idea it would be Ragnar though. Atheltan's death was a big deal for him, so much so that he is willing to forsake everyone else in Valhalla so he can go to heaven. One thing that disappointed me about that though was that I have always looked at Ragnar as king whole rules logically and who always has a plan. This time it seems his decision was based on emotion and fear of his own perceived looming death. Since we know from history that he survives this raid, Im wondering how this plays out and how ape shit Floki goes.

Oh SHIT! I can hardly wait. Their previews are always killer also. I hear we get 16 episodes this season. Plenty of time to watch Floki twist in the wind!

...yeah, it was entertaining to say the least (just don't focus on all of the perfect teeth that the so-called "pirates" have)!
