Well Omer Asik does also have an expiring deal. Also I believe DeAndre Jordan does also.

    That's nice.

I'll keep Rolo, thank you very much.

While I agree AAA at $7.7M is not a bad deal at all, as I think he was starting to really pick up as our 6th man before Wes went down. However, having that $7.7M on the cap while we potentially try to make moves this summer isn't the best thing for our flexibility.

Hardly the end of the thread. A solid point, but how do you know that it isn't simply we no longer have Hickson playing center? Is there a way to tell what our players average with other players starting or what they average the minutes that RoLo is off the floor?

Neil is doing a fine job at keeping his options open though.

Flawed logic. When we had Joel and Oden LA was still averaging sub-par rebounding numbers.

Yes, maybe it's total blind coincidence that when Hickson left, we went from 24th in the league in rebounding to 1st last year, and 2nd this year. I bet any old guy could be plugged in there and we'll be Top 5.

Is that even an possibility? After re-signing LMA and a center (Whether it is Rolo or not) and Wes.........I was not aware that we had a chance at any other decent options. What did you have in mind?

We would have the mini-MLE this summer regardless of getting Afflalo or not.

You'd think the Blazers sould have some of Bill Walton's DNA laying around. Shouldn't be that hard to clone him.

That would be nice, but give him Robert Parish feet and ankles.

This notion is just silly. Hickson averaged double digits in rebounding. How do we go from 24th to where we are? Fropez that's how.
How does Dame, Wes, and Nico get career numbers? FROPEZ.

Until I see a championship caliber team in the Blazer gear, we don't have any keepers except Lamarcus.
This may be the best team we have had in 14 years but upgrade is needed in all but the PF spot. I was beginning to think we were also good at SG but that is
probably not now true either. PG would probably be ok as is if he would stow that three ball desire and turn some of those misses into assists.
Rolo is a fair half of a tandem pair of centers on a championship team, probably not first chair though. The current version of Batum is an adequate SF for
a championship team but the adequate version isn't there every night.

    Upgrades needed.

Beating up the opposing teams mascots before games has left ROLO with less energy during games to set proper screens.

I would certainly talk to Gasol and DeAndre this summer, but i'd be very surprised if we got a guy better than Rolo at the five.

On second thought, just use one of these
    [IMG]
to transfer Walton's skills into Beibs' brain.

I'm not savvy with 82games and the other sites. Would someone mind finding a statistic regarding our rebounding in lineups with Dame-Wes-Batum-Aldridge and then anyone else at C besides Lopez? Would be interesting to see.

I agree! It's always nice to have options. Although I'm very happy to have Lopez, I still think DeAndre would be a fantastic fit in the Blazers starting unit.

Even if it's for a year or two worth of a center?

Deandre Jordan will be the reason the Clippers lose a series. If he can't make a free throw under the normal pressure of a regular season game what do you think he is going to do in a game 7 situation? I have a hard time thinking there is any way that they make it out of the first round with him on the team. Until the guy learns how to shoot a free throw i say no thanks.
