Surprises:-New Orleans: A big off-season shakeup led the Saints to a new QB, Drew Brees, a new RB, Reggie Bush, a new coach, Sean Payton, and a new top WR, Marques Colston. Add that with the Hurricanes that hit New Orleans arena, and you have a team overachieved in the worst of times to win some football games. Also:-Jets-Titans-RavensDissapointments-Pittsburgh: The Steelers were favored to repeat, but a string of bad luck (Big Ben's accident, Bill Cowher drama, etc.) led them to the bottom half of the league. Charlie Batch won a few games for Pittsburgh, but they lost too many important pieces from the team in the off-season.Also:-Carolina-Miami-Denver
I'm not sure that I think the Ravens were a surprise. They seemed like they were preparing to get better. I think people should have seen that NO would be better, but they are a surprise indeed. I'm not sure that the Jets are doing anything that impressive, either. I completely agree with the others, though.
Ravens aren't a suprise. They just needed a QB that didn't turn the quarterback over. they have a run offense, they just need a passer who knows what team to throw to
I don't think people thought that they would be on top of the division though. Many thought they would be behind Pittsburgh and even Cincinnati. They aren't as big of a surprise as others, but I just needed another team to add.

Miami was overrated at the beginning of the season. They looked good on paper, but their season depended on Culpepper's knee being 100%.
You better add San Frnaicsco. They are 6-8..Most people probably didnt have them winning more than 3-4 games..

Even with Culpepper's knee hurting, that left no excuse for holding the ball so long in the pocket without trying to get it out of his hands. Joey Harrington who is slower than Culpepper even if Culpepper has an injury, isn't getting sacked as much as Culpepper was.
Amazing how far Culpepper has fallen. From being the 4th best QB(imo) a couple years ago to being one of the worst now and someone who no one cares about anymore.
Well, Harrington has played solid filling in, but I still truly believe Culpepper will be our QB of the future. Harrington will never develop into anything more than a good backup quarter back. Also, once we're mathematically eliminated I'd like Saban to give Marcus Vick or Cleo Lemon a shot and see what they can do.

Well for Surprises I will say Ravens and Saints.Drew Brees has really took this team to the level they need to be on to win some games. Ravens are a shock to me because look where they where last season, dead last in north behind my beloved Cleveland Browns. The QB change has really helped them out and thats why they are a shocker to me.Biggest Dissapointments for me is my team, the Cleveland Browns. We did a lot of Off season changes and yet we have not made out like a lot of people would of thought of. Bentley went down in the 1st day of traning camp. Makes you think if something is wrong with Cleveland. Let's hope LeBron and Hughes can end that. :dribble:
Lol, get real. You thought the Browns were going to do well. They might be the least-talented team in the League.

They aren't suprisingly bad, they are a joke.
Once again the Bills get overlooked. 7-7 going into week 16, and they have a shot at the playoffs; even more so than the Titans but everyone overlooks them. if 4 games go right this weekend the Bills would be in the last wildcard spot going into the last week of the season. No body, not even me and the six other Bills fans on Earth, predicted they'd be 7-7.

Surprises: -Saints: For everything already mentioned-Eagles: Who didn't leave them for dead the second McNabb was lost for the year? -Titans: Wasn't Young supposed to be a year or 2 away from being an starter material?Dissapointments: -Carolina: My superbowl pick :censored2:-Arizona: Weren't they supposed to turn the corner and actually compete for the playoffs?- Miami: after having everyone suck up to them in the off-season they sure found a way to stink it up.- Washington: SSDYI'd give a pass to Seattle and Pittsburgh because they are putting the pieces together after key injuries.

This offseason they didn't have an offensive line, much of a defense and leadership...I didn't believe the 'hype' they were getting.
