Re: Trade Eval: VC for Ridnour & Al Jefferson I just had a trade get vetoed by my Yahoo Fantasy league...MeVince CarterOther TeamLuke RidnourAl JeffersonLet me explain why I approved the trade in the first place now...I am dead last in blocks, 2nd to last in assists and 3rd to last in rebounds (12 team league). I am first in FT and 3-PT, 2nd in scoring, etc.So the trade addresses my deficiencies, as well as the other team (who needs 3-PT).Does this trade seem unfair to you?
Re: Trade Eval: VC for Ridnour & Al Jefferson Trade VC for one piece (a better PG) and then use the waiver wire for that other piece.
Re: Trade Eval: VC for Ridnour & Al Jefferson I was thinking about trading for Baron Davis (closest in rank), Billups or Nash. I'm cautious of Arenas, Wade and other PG's w/ a lot of turnovers.Which of the three I just mentioned would be the best value trade-wise?
Re: Trade Eval: VC for Ridnour & Al Jefferson wow I'd like to get vc for a pg and a rebounder - I need three's
Re: Trade Eval: VC for Ridnour & Al Jefferson I dunno about that one. VC has been a fantasy beast. I know you have your needs, but I think you could've gotten better value for him.
Re: Trade Eval: VC for Ridnour & Al Jefferson Why was that trade vetoed? That's not that bad. People overvalue big names in fantasy basketball SO MUCH. VC is like a 25/5/5 type player (or around there), but Ridnour and Jefferson each get double digits in scoring, and Ridnour gets a lot of assists while Jefferson gets a lot of rebounds. Then Ridnour gets you three's while Big Al gets you blocks. To say Ridnour + Jefferson's stats aren't better than Carter alone is stupid: Vince Carter: 26.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, 3.8 apg Al Jefferson: 12.4 ppg, 8.8 rpg, 1.3 bpg Luke Ridnour: 14.3 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 6.1 apg, 40% 3FG Adding it all together Jefferson + Ridnour = 26.7 ppg, 11.7 rpg, 6.9 apg Advantage: the person getting Jefferson/Ridnour. Also note that in Big Al's last 5 games, he has averaged 19.8 ppg, 11.8 rpg, and 1.8 bpg on 56% shooting.
