I think you can say that both are good players in the 4th quarter. Its nice to see you post stats that paint Jamal Crawford in a favorable light though. I enjoy that.
I wonder what Doc Rivers, coach of the "better team," thinks about Thibs. http://probasketballtalk.nbcsports....lls-would-be-nuts-to-let-tom-thibodeau-leave/ Oh. That's what. Doc is another guy that has won a ring recently. GarPax can't say that of course. ---- I wonder what Bullsville thinks about Thibs just a few short months ago? http://www.sportstwo.com/posts/3410602/ Oh. That's what. Seriously, what changed? Its quite a turn-a-round. The Bulls just won their 49th game so its not like the season has been a disaster, despite more Rose injury nonsense to deal with.
Doc sucks. Thibs is the reason he's even in the league. Not saying he's not at least average, but Rivers is only a notch above Vinny Del Negro level.
I don't watch enough Clippers to really argue with you. It would be tough for a head coach that sucks and "associate head coach" who some here feel is a "Thidiot" to lead a team to a championship though, right? Sounds like you think that Thibs was the brains behind that operation. I certainly think highly of Thibs' coaching skills.
I do. Rivers has admitted that himself somewhat, he was the defensive mastermind of the Celtics. Anybody who wants to fire Thibs is a moron and should be forced at gun point to walk to Siberia.
I'm glad Rivers and Thibodeau are BFFs. Am I correct to understand that none of you have an issue with Thibodeau subbing Taj Gibson in for Pau Gasol with 5:09 left in the game and the Bulls up by 28, after he re-aggravated his ankle? You guys are all on board with him making that substitution with one game left in the regular season? That was quite possibly the most Thibodey Thibodeau maneuver I can remember.
I didn't see it like you did, apparently. It looked to me like Thibs played guys who needed the time to work on endurance or gaining strength, etc. Taj sat for weeks with his foot in a boot. I don't think he's all the way back, but working his way back nicely. The Bulls destroyed the Nets last night. I don't see any reason to bitch about it. It's looking like 50 wins is likely and we're deep (at the 4/5) and healthy going into round 1 of the playoffs. I am more optimistic now than at the beginning of the season when everyone said it was us and the Cavs then the rest of the dregs.
To add to my previous post, when it was time to put in the scrubs, there weren't 5 guys to put in. Someone who'd played most of the game had to remain in the game so we could field a full team of 5 on the court.
Yes, it looks like he was. Thibs took him out at the 3:45 mark and the two exchanged a nod as Taj was leaving the court. Taj basically jogged up and down the court for 1:30 and jumped one time for a rebound. I wouldn't fire the most successful coach since Phil Jackson over this. I'm not even sure if its a problem.
So maybe Rose didn't go up to Thibs late in Q4 to suggest he put in the scrubs after all. He wanted to go in and play.
