No one gives a shit about what Boston or Baltimore are doing we're talking about the YANKEES!

Oh the hell with it, argue by yourself.

Don't you think it's appropriate since some of "us" are wringing our hands after a 3-6 start? I'm not looking for any medals or pats on the back, I could look silly if the Yanks win 80-ish games and finish near the basement....I'm just trying to inject a bit of perspective from my point of view.....after all, this DOES concern the Yanks performance coupled with a few opinions which are sort of indicating the thought of the Yanks' chances of competing for a playoff spot are "wrong" or ridiculous - after nine games -
Would you at least agree with SOME of this?

    Think about it.

After the first 9 games, leaving the Yanks 3 games out has already made up your mind, I'm truly sorry to inform you that you are either crazy or dumb.

No offense intended, but would the heck else is there to say.

Poor guy........I guess this is one Yankee season where you won't be watching.

What you fail (REFUSE) to understand is that we are simply making an observation as to how bad this team looks after 9 games. You however are taking that to mean that we are all giving up & writing this team off for the year.

    Now, seriously let it go.

Wins or Loses of any kind, can loom Big believe it or not; come the end of September. Thats why they start in April, and don't think of a minute the Yanx will pull out of this Admins/Owners/GM, has failed to provide for a PS Team. I'm fkn sorry, I don't see it. Any Team knows, any player knows, what happens the 1st of the week, may not look to bite a team in the ass,...........

(unlikely any team does like the Bums when Puig came up, what 42-8 over 50 games, you expect anyone to believe that shit), Hell Christ Himself would have to come down to YS and walk on the Diamond, bless it as a Miraclous comeback by a prospect not even playing ball as we speak.....

What I'd give to eat my own words too, but its not gonna' happen and you should know it other than blatant blind Homerism, if the moves could of been made in the Winter, they would have, and that means they sure as hell aren't going to find all, or any of the Players necessary to dominate PS or be in PS to begin with. I think anyone knows what the writing on the walls say for 015. Let me guess, in July the Yanx will include 3 more Aces or cash in on a FA year contract to create one helluva SP staff. This is not the 90s anymore Dorothy...! I mean Clyde....~

Saw a couple of ESPN on Cashman, First that he was "dumb founded" by the Yankees lack of defense. Guess what Brian, look at the dumb deals you made to get "younger and better" Fail. In conjunction the 2s article dealt with how Dombrowsi in Detroit has cleaned Cashmans Plow in trades beginning while Dombrowski was in Miami. I'd like to see a mob of angry Yankee Fans storm the Executive Offices drag out the brass and hang them all from yard arms.

    ...yup, total fail.

...Cashman was responsible for the mediocrity of the last 2 years...so the Steins decided to reward him for that by giving him a new contract and 3 years to correct the mistake that had already been made. Not one of his off season moves has improved this team.

...if any of us had been this inept at our jobs what are the chances that the boss would call us into his office and say, "You've been working with this company for nearly 30 years and you still suck...but I'll tell you what, I'm gonna give you a raise and 3 more years to get your shit together".

Simple math exercise.... 3-6, 153 remaining. Can we agree that 9+153=162 ?

To win 90: requires 90-3=87 more wins

    153-87=66. To double check. 66+6=72, 72+90=162. Check

Therefore. This team needs to play. 87-66. 0.569 rate. A rate this team hasn't done since 2012.

These threads are like The Real Housewives of the Internet. Silly stuff.

Not great results so far but nothing in any of these series tells you that the Yanks don't have a chance in this division. The crazy thing is that the defensem which was supposed to be the strong suit of this team, has failed them most. Big difference between this team and the 2014 team that you can see already; if the team is down a few runs early, they're still in the game. A 2 run deficit after 4 last year and you could change the channel.

Sorry Bern, nothing yet this year that indicates this team is capable of being competitive. And I'm an optimist.

Holy sh!t, Mr Common Core Math over here ;) I don't see this team getting to 90 wins but I'm not sure the division winner gets to 90 either. I know it's easy to be down on this team but they're not the bad news bears - they could easily have won 2 of 3 in all 3 of those series. Whether they can do that against division rivals from here on out will be a big factor in where they end up.

I know I'm an optimist but I can still see 85-88 wins.

In the east I think 85-90 wins takes the division.
