Okafor: 6-9 FGs, 1-4 FTs, 13 points, 11 boards, no assists, a turnover and a steal, 3 blocks, 3 fouls in a win.Okafor wins round two. Did a pretty decent job on Howard tonight. Howard was pretty careless with the ball, 6 turnovers isn't acceptable for anyone.</div>Yeah, there are a variety of reasons why Howard is hitting a rough stretch right now. For one his offensive set is very predictable, he uses the same movs alot. A part of the game that showed that was in the third when Howard was on the right side of the basket, he took two dribbles with the hand closest to the free throw line, like he does alot, and was about to turn baseline to the right like usual. Brezec already knew it was coming and reached forward just popping the ball out of his right hand. The other reason, is that he rushes a bit to much with the ball, trys to move to fast. If he can improve those two areas, he will get alot better on the offensive end.

This wasn't a bad game at all considering the teams and the injuries. The Howard/Okafor matchup was pretty solid down low, both played hard and very aggressively. However, Dwight Howard had ANOTHER night of inconsistancy offensively. It's not even that he was missing shots, it's that he wasn't TAKING them. One night he scores 24-25 points, the next he takes 6-7 shots. That happens ALL THE TIME. He needs to consistantly attack the basket. He had a rough night offensively: he wasn't attacking the basket enough and he got a few turnovers.Keyon Dooling played an excellent offensive game, he was really aggressive attacking the basket. Travis Diener was knocking shots down and he gave them a lift off the bench, Darko played ok (not great, but ok), and I thought Bo Outlaw did an excellent job when he was in there. But Orlando was missing free throws and not getting to the line as often as Charlotte. But the big killer: TURNOVERSFor Charlotte, Sean May was outstanding! Adam Morrison shot the ball pretty well also, and I thought Brevin Knight had a quiet, yet very good game. Okafor did a solid job, and he played Howard extremely well. Gerald Wallace played real good defense as well (how many damn steals did he have? 5?).Charlotte played good defense, they limited their mistakes with the ball, and they got to the line a lot. And the bench was GREAT (May and Morrison were outstanding offensively).<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (BALLAHOLLIC? @ Dec 14 2006, 09:57 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>He's right, Charlotte didn't beat Cleveland on the road. I didnt know there was a charlotte vs orlando topic on here. man, orlando did a half decent job keeping pace for 3 quarters with the cats. this was their 6th game in 8 nights. with 3 starters out and key role player keith bogans out, the magic looked really bad out there with all of the bench players in the line-up. this messed up the rotation. although diener did a good job, actually great job, he was our best player out there lol.JJ Redick again looked uncomfortable with his shot. But I noticed that Redick is sort of like Hamilton and Miller. He's looked really good running off double screens and getting the open shot. Once he gets comfortable with the offense, he's gonna be great offensively. Money all day.

I thought Dooling was the one that kept us close, and did the best for us last night. He has been the one constant throughout this stretch of bad games I think. He is much better in the starting lineup than coming off the bench I think, and has played like he deserves to be a starter. Ariza however, needs someone to come back so he can come in off the bench where he seems most devastating.I knew before the season that Redick would be like a Reggie Miller, have to do lots of his damage off of screens and without the ball. His shot is getting better, he didn't airball anything last night. It takes a bit to get used to NBA range, and he is starting to get used to it. He did show a couple of good moves off the dribble, and with the ball last night. That pump fake on Morrison was very nice, and I thought he used it at the right time. He missed the shot, but it was a really nice play. He also took the ball into the lane one time, got them to jump on a pump, and then hit the fall away. He might have the best headfakes on our team, once he gets his shot going, he will be good off the bench for us.

He just isn't comfortable. He needs to release it on his first catch and then just shoot. He's money like that all day

That pump fake on Morrison at the three line, and then step inside of it was perfect and absolutely the right timing for it. It is much easier to make that shot wide open than it is to shoot with Morrison running at him and putting a hand in his face. Phil Collins said that same thing at the time, he should have put the shot up without the pump fake, but I think completely different.
