Just finished watching the game and im not exactly standing on an edge debating if I should jump or not but im obviously not happy. We rushed a lot of shots and missed a ton of easy shots while the grizz hit a lot of hard shots. Both those things wont continue to happen.
We need to take any open look we get not constantly swing the ball around looking for a better one because we wont necessarily get it. If we keep missing from the outside then they can easily collapse and make everything near the hoop extemely hard and we saw that tonight.
Wev also got to both set better screens deeper inside the 3pt line instead of this BS near the top we started doing to much. We also need to fight through their screens a lot better then we did.
Im not panicking, and won't even if we come out looking like crap in game 2, until we lose one at home. If we can go into game 5 2-2 ill feel good about our chances figuring it to be a coin flip.
Still a lot of series left to be played and I believe we have the better Coach

"A lot of series to be played" is tough logic to use on a group of people who were calling game after the first quarter. But for what it's worth I agree.

    Great post

Tough watching a hobbled Conley getting a foul call every time he drove. 2 of those were questionable, if not all 3.

I would have been fine with it if they were giving Dame the same respect but nope. The reffing was really in favor of Memphis but thats something I see staying that way unless we start being more physical then them from the get go.

I did change the channel and it wasn't the pregame show after RCL on KGW.
It was some other show. So I was asking.
Kind of an uncalled for comment tho. So I'll return the favor.

    :dropdead:

There is only one NBA announcer I can put up with, and he wasn't announcing the game.
I put up with mike and mike because they're not as bad as some other teams announcers.
That's not me being a homer, because when mike and mike say stupid shit I have to mute the TV.
That's me not wanting to watch the game on a perm mute because TNT announcers suck ass. Half of the time they're not even watching the game.

Startling stat just mentioned on radio courtesy of NBA.com/stats: 8 of Udrih's 14 attempts last night came with no defender within 4 feet of him.

    Confirms what I saw.

Fuck. Terry, get this shit together. Get your big to hedge more. Switch on the P&R on occasion. Change something! We all know insanity is trying the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. Going into the game last night, I wonder what Terry expected with the exact same game plan as he had all season.

Yeah, Meyers has it completely backwards. He usually mouths somebody in the elbow, and gets called for the foul. Ya know?

    That was depressing.

The Blazers started off bad and got worse. We are seriously missing Wes, and to a lesser degree Afflalo and Wright. And Dame. We really missed Dame in this game.

At least LaMarcus kept after it after a bad start and put it together. Batum and Meyers were really the only other bright spots, and Kaman did what he could. The FBI should investigate to see if the mafia has taken Dame's family hostage or something.

I need one of those memory stick flash things from Men in Black.
