Link G Arron Afflalo (shoulder) may return for Blazers in Game 2 by Elliott Smith | Staff Writer (11:15 am ET) The injury-ravaged Trail Blazers may get a big boost for Game 2 of their playoff series against the Grizzlies as guard Arron Afflalo could return from a shoulder injury, per CSNNorthwest.com Afflalo suffered a right shoulder strain late in the season and missed the last three games of the regular season while recovering. When asked by CSNNW if he would be available for Game 2, Afflalo said, "Yeah, I'm good." BNM
Not to be too pessimistic, but I don't know how effective he'll be with a sore shoulder on his shooting arm. And even if he's back to normal, will he really make that large on an impact? Glad he's back regardless.
If he's back to normal, it would be a huge difference. Afflalo is a vet with, and has swag and shooting skill that we really needed last night. Prob do a better on job on Beno too, can't do any worse...
Now we need you to believe harder than you did last night! You must cheer the cheer of a thousand fans and smite the Grizzlies faithful. For thine is the gift and the glory of fandom. And it was good. Amen.
Awesome. Hopefully, Moda will be rocking with all these crazy Portlanders in their WW reading, over-hopped microbrewery craziness!
We need more than Afflalo coming back to win this series. We need Dame to play like he's a star, Aldridge to be the best big in the series, Batum and Afflalo to be aggressive and shoot consistently, Rolo to be at his season average, CJ and Kaman to produce a combined 15-20 a game.
Not asking a lot to have that happen but asking a lot for that to all happen in the same game (every game). I think we make a series of this. I don't think we win though but would love to be wrong.
Great teams make perfect games in series. Look at SAS last season. You step up during this time. If you aren't gonna step up, then you deserve to lose the series. Also, this would be "series averages" not "every game"
