This is a Mike Richman piece. He is my favorite of the O-Live guys covering the team. He has hit on a bunch of the things i watched in game one.
Or even run double screens. Whatever the case, Memphisis a fundamentally sound defensive team, but they are slow. If you can match their physical play and focus them on their guards, things would be so much easier as the series progresses.

The author is confused. After losing Wes, we don't have a backcourt anymore. We just have Lillard. Unless you go big and drop Batum down to SG, which is probably our only hope of beating the Teddy Bears, we're basically playing 4 on 5. Blake, CJ, Afflalo, Crabbe...inconsistent bench players at best and disasters in a starting role.
I was actually considering the possibility of having Batum play SG. We could start Crabbe at SF, which would be the defensive guy. Problem with this strategy is our normal offense to Aldridge ISO is from our SF. I don't like the idea of Crabbe initiating the ISO for Aldridge. So basically Memphis can play our offense the same.
Memphis beat us quite a few times with Wes on the court. Afflalo hasn't played them yet and CJ and Crabbe are new to playoff ball. We have an inexperienced backcourt now but if Rolo isn't scoring, they can pressure the perimeter all game.
