Good lord. Quick (or was it Canzano) really fucked this all up.

And that's all I'm going to say about that, because they don't deserve the rant.

I'm guessing that Blazer player may be named Victor

LaMarcus would be a fool not to meet with other teams, even if his heart is set on staying in Portland.

I think the phrase is "due diligence," but I ain't done gon't' no fancy larnin' skool like soma you smart fellers...

LA should take this time to meet with all the teams he wants to. First time being courted in FA and the last time he will be the headline of the FA class.
None of this makes me think he is more likely to leave then I already thought

LA has always said, you know instead of you don't know so that's proof he's sticking around

Good for LMA. He should be wined and dined. SA is no more (or less) likely to make it out of the first round than us however.

If I were betting on his 'heart', I'd say his heart belongs to Texas.

But money talks and I think his Blazers legacy is also important.

Of course, so are championships. So what the Spurs and Olshey have to do is convince LaMarcus their team gives him the best shot at a ring.

That's the conversation I think we should be having.

If Aldridge was ever to leave, I would think the Spurs would be the perfect place for him. He is a fundamental player, with good mechanics and likes to play within a system. Pops would make him into the best PF in the game and the spurs are most likely to get him and still compete for a ring, maybe even be the front runner.

Our best hope is that Duncan, Ginobli, and Pops all announce their retirement before free agency. Sure it frees up a bucket of money to lure Aldridge to Texas (or Gasol), but it takes away the Spurs proclivity for championships.

He's already the best PF in the league. Spurs are old as dirt now. We're young and on the rise. LA will get a ring here..book it!

The only way LMA will win a ring is with the Spurs. It's definitely in his best interest to sign there if he cares more about championships than playing on easy street for club titles.

I've read this twice from you and all I'm going to say is Nic can share in 'that' same responsibility.

He has more and LA is going to need more if they are going to advance.
