Maybe they should have fired the guy who traded James Harden.

I thought Byron Scott and Derrick Fisher would be the first fired. Brooks was on the list though

Mar Azul wants us to replace Lillard with Brooks.

The reality is that Scott Brooks sucked, but Durant liked him and Westbrick was happy to hog the ball. It'll be interesting to see what happens now FA-wise and on-court-wise.

Not if the intent is to replace him with Billy Donovan.

    Kevin Ollie, maybe.

So the consensus seems to be that Brooks just rolled the ball out and let them play. Hard to say without being at practice or in the huddle. He never really impressed me, but they always played hard.

Their next hire is crucial. Brooks seemed liked a players coach. If they go with a more regimented coach that doesn't mesh well with Westbrook or Durant........they both could leave. It was probably easier for Brooks as he got them both when they were rookies. Now they are strong willed superstars.

I think the only coaches in recent memory with enough clout to get Westbrook to play within a team system, and the balls to force him to, are Pop and Phil. Neither one of those are gonna happen. Doc could teach him how to whine to the refs after EVERY play, but he already has a whiny bitch of a PG on his current team...

I still say we recruit Kevin before destroying him... he's strong with the force, and could be a powerful ally.

We must first align ourselves with Kevin Love.

That is what I was thinking as well. It's not like OKC is a bad team and needs to do things differently. Injuries have been the issue the last two years.

So a new coach wanting to do things differently might have problems unless they have rings to prove their way is better. And Pop and Phil are about the only coaches that can pull that off.

They fired the wrong guy. Just like they traded the wrong guy (Harden).

    I'm going to enjoy this.
