Blue moon poster here(although I may not be for long if I keep posting like this)

I've already given my reasons why in a previous thread, so I will give things on what the players(the guards specifically) and Stotts needs to do while Meyers is in the game:

    1. Lillard, McCollum and Blake need to stop freezing Leonard out and pass him the ball so he can shoot when he's on the court. It almost seems like, Lillard and McCollum especially, that they would rather try to do it themselves and lose then to win and have Leonard show them up. Maybe I'm just seeing things but that's what it looks like to me.

    2. If Leonard comes in and the team goes on a rally, KEEP HIM IN THE GAME!!! I was screaming at Stotts to keep Leonard in the game when the team got to single digits in the fourth. Stotts instead takes him out for Lopez and what Happens? The team loses their spacing on the floor and the Grizzlies push the lead out, resulting in another loss.

    3. Meyers needs to be on the court at the end of games. The team needs someone who can try to take pressure off LA and Dame and make shots because Crabbe, Batum and Lopez aren't the ones to do it.

    Just my two cents.

You have to ask, why doesn't the coach fix this glaring flaw?

I'd also start Gee over Batum. We need players with some fucking balls. Batum is lolly gagging around like it's pre-season.

I don't think he should start but he should play at least 20 minutes and plays should be designed for him to shoot. He's been the best shooter in the series.

If Afflalo can't go, I would think about playing Nic at SG and Gee at SF. On Leonard, I wouldn't start him, but he's earned more minutes. And, maybe run a few more plays to set him up from 3?

Meyers had 10/7 in 18 minutes and wasn't even playing bad defense. Not sure why he was pulled.

I'd like to see Meyers getting some burn at the SF when he's not coming in at the PF. He's quick enough to play Nico's spot when he's on the bench. Stotts played Leonard, Aldridge and Kaman together for a few minutes in one game and I liked it

Stotts is like a damn robot with his rotation. The only way Meyers gets more minutes is if he starts, period, that is the way Stotts operates. Also Leonard won't be on the court at the end of games if he is not a starter, case in point; Allen Crabbe tonight.

I'd start Meyers at 4 and LA at center.

Everyone is collapsing on LA, at center he could pass it out any of the other 4 guys for the 3.

Agree and I think LA would be okay playing center if it means they have a better chance at winning.

At the very least put Gee in to slow down Udrih, that guy is killing the Blazers.

Was really impressed with Meyers tonight. Not just his shooting, how about the diving out of bounds save? Did anybody think he was going to get to that ball? I know Dufas, err Koufos got a couple easy put backs on Meyers watch, but I can't recall if that was even his fault. He's pulled down some boards in traffic, he's held his own defensively. And of course, he's making 80% of his 3s in the series. He's playing really well.

11 points in the playoffs from your starting SF who gets paid a ton?

That is shit IMO. Specially when its obvious that Dame and LA need help.

He should be shooting every time he touches the god damn ball.

Just so long as it's Rolo at SG.

We all know that Stotts isn't going to change his starters unless there's an injury. And I've got to believe that Leonard can't keep up this kind of shooting. And I only managed to make myself watch the game for a short time yesterday and in that time Leonard flailed ineffectively at several rebounds.

BUT: having him out there requires SOMEBODY to respect him, so it's worth a shot. But if we make one adjustment, it would be to bolt Steve Blake to the bench and actually play Tim Frazier some minutes. Blake has been comically ineffective. He had an open path to the basket and he got halfway there and panicked and passed off into a crowd of Memphis players. And who's Udrih been playing against?
