Come on...I know you can say something positive Step. You can do it man. Just one positive thing. There has to be something positive you can say about us winning a series in 5 games.

Hopefully zucc comes back healthy. You could tell the offense was hurting without Zucc as soon as he left the game. Glass has not looked terrible but I would like to see what Sheppard can do on that fourth line.

I think DMoore has been an unsung hero for this team for the last two years.

NBA playoffs exciting as always. 5 series are 3-0. 2 series 2-0 with game 3 tomorrow. 1 series was 1-1. Really exciting...

The pens are not a joke but Malkin was hurt, no doubt about it. You could see it from miles away. He always kills us in the playoffs. Thy did not have their three top d-men. Could we at least win one game by two goals and not sweating out?

There you go Step...a little shout out for Moore.

And I agree about Zucc, we need him badly. He would be a huge loss. I thought I heard AV say he was told he's alright, but who knows. Sure we'll hear more tomorrow.

We won in 5 games not 7 Step. I know you wanted a 4 game sweep or a 5 game series where we won all the games 4-1, but the NHL playoffs are tough. Ask the Habs or TB.

Nobody limps their way into the NHL playoffs. Everybody who gets there, deserves to be there. And once they get there, it's a whole new season where anything can happen ... and usually does.

Who said Malkin was hurt? Couldn't it be that the Ranger D just shut him down?

Boyle didn't look good on the wide open MISS of the net, but in 4 of the 5 games the Rangers defense held the Pens to 1 goal ... he had to do something right.

LOL...jam. Malkin was not a 100% healthy in this series. I don't discredit the rangers. We got the job done. At the end of the day, thats all it counts. It does not matter how you win it. I just hope we play better in the next round if we want to advance further.

I have learned a hockey player does need his stick to score a goal in
these playoffs. Crashing the net in the blue is allowed. Not in the
regular season...... most of these 'crashes' would have been called
goalie interference. Playoff hockey. Anything goes. :sith:

Boyle must've had brain freeze. He could have ended it late in the 3rd. Despite
his erratic play, Rangers held it together for four 2-1 wins. Yes, it did seem like a
longer series. Four down, 12 to go.

Boyle is a freakin nightmare. Rangers finally did what they needed to do. End a series quickly.

Step, I know you don't discredit the Rangers, but who was saying that Malkin was hurt? I know the announcers ( I miss msn) mentioned that they didn't think he looked 100%, but at playoff time, after playing 82 games, who is?

As for the series, their is just to much history between the Pens and Rangers for the series not to be hard fought, and a close series.

The Pens intentionally made contact with Hank at least 3 times in the 2nd period, and in the 3rd someone not only made contact but ended up behind him in the net ... no call. I wanted the Rangers to do the same thing with Fleury, just to see if it would bring a whistle, but I'm happy with the end result.

LOL ... he probably could have stopped the puck with his skate, and walked it in the back of the net, as he had that much room. He panicked, and just wanted to make sure he didn't do anything stupid and of course that's exactly what he did. What's nice is that they still won, and he will have a chance at redemption.

    Great win last night!

Can you imagine having Stralman instead of Boyle. That defense would have been unbelievable. Stralman and Yandle or Klein and Yandle as 5th and 6th D. That would have been amazing!!!

Yesterday I could not decide who should sit when Klein is back. Both Hunwick and Boyle were very noticeable out there.
