I just thought of this idea. Here's how it would work. Every day I will try to post 5 candidates that had the best statline the previous night, and you guys will vote for the player who you feel posted the best digits. The player who gets the most votes will rack up a win, and the standings will be posted on the first page..Anyone interested? This should be pretty fun for a little while.Candidates for todayaul Pierce-35 points, 11 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 blockChauncey Billups-27 points, 11 assists, 2 boards, 5 stealsDwyane Wade-41 points, 5 rebounds, 7 assists, 5 steals, 1 blockDwight Howard-14 points, 16 rebounds, 2 steals, 5 blocksChris Paul-30 points, 12 rebounds, 8 assistsIt was pretty close between Dwyane and Chris Paul, but Ive gotta go with Dwyane. Man, he did this in his first game back from jaw surgery or w/e he had.I've got to give it to Kobe. Scoring 50+ and almost getting a triple double is simply amazing.<div align="center"><span style="font-size:24pt;line-height:100%">Official Standings</span></div><div align="center">1. Kobe Bryant - 1 win</div>
Gotta be Yao. 35/15/4 is really, really good, but the 8 blocks put him over the top of Kobe.I also think the top two should be taken and the top one gets 2 points and the 2nd most votes gets 1 point. That way on cases like last night when you have a lot of guys with great lines they don't get any recognition and somewhat shafted.
Wow that was crazy last night huh? Im voting for Kobe, Yao had the beter statline but at the end the Lakers won.
Id give it to Ben Wallace, I mean 27 rebounds? that is insane for players in todays game. kobe gets high scoring like that all the time so its not really that great. yao was impressive too but 27 rebounds!!!

Kobe's was the best because he made his team win while having an amazing statline.Yao did good but of course he lost.
I'd have to give it to Kobe as well. Not only did he get 53/10/8, but his team was down 21 points and he willed them to victory in a 2OT game. That was just great. In both overtime periods, he made some big plays as well. Also note that if Kwame Brown knew how to make a layup, Kobe would have had 10 or 11 assists lol. But I definitely have to give this one to Kobe.
I think that this is an easy one to give. It is obviously Kobe Bryant. His team was without their 2nd option, and he completley took over to win the game. He almost had a triple double, AND he scored over 50 points. I actually think that I would give Ben Wallace the 2nd place over Yao Ming. 27 rebounds in a game is straight up ridiculous. IMO, that is pretty much like scorer over 50 points in the sense that it is equally hard to do. How many guys a year do you see get over 25 rebounds a game? All of last year, I think the only guys to do it were Howard, Marion (I think I remember a game over 25 boards for him), and probably Wallace. But to also have 6 assits for a center is great, and then you add on the 3 blocks and 3 steals.
Close one, I'd say it's between Ben and Kobe. I'll give the edge to Kobe though. He brought his team back and like ballerman said, just completely took over the game all by himself.
Crazy night.Big Ben 20 points and 27 boards...dang.I'm going to give it to Kobe tho, he lead his team back in double OT win.
Yeah but you guys this is the best statline of the night. Not the best performance. Still though I would have to give it to Kobe. To get 53 points and still rackup 8 assists with not many options on his team is incredible. Not to mention he also got 10 rebounds.
Ben Wallace - 27 rebounds is pretty much unheard of in the modern NBAKobe is a close second, thoughBoris Diaw is third - triple double, team wins 13th straightYao Ming is fourth - his team lost

Your just being a Kobe hater as usual.

Wallace got 27 rebounds in regulation didn't he? But he only scored 10 points not 20 and Kobe was really clutch and the reason why his team won so I'd give it to him. Diaw was dominant in the paint yesterday. I liked that.
