Today's lineup............. NOTES: originally Petit who was send down to make room for Whitley would not have been able to be called back up for at least 10 days. Being short an infielder it was rumored that once Whitley was sent back down after his planned one game outing that they would bring up either Pirela or Rhsnyder since we were short an infielder, BUT.......since there was an injury & a roster spot NEEDED to be filled the Yankees were allowed to bring Petit back up without waiting the 10 days. So it looks like Pirela & or Rhsnyder will STILL have to wait. CF - Ellsbury LF - Gardner DH - Rodriquez 1B - Teixeira RF - Beltran (currently batting 161) 3B - Headley C - Murphy 2B - Petit SS - Gregorius
Looks like Pineda is now the "Ace" by default. Feel OK with him in there, Go Yankees, sweep them out of the ball yard.
The original lineup also had Gardner in it batting 2nd but I see Young is in there now. Is Gardner okay?
I guess with McCann not in there you're right, although I'd bat Headley ahead of him. It's sad how lost Beltran looks, even in the field.
...I have no idea what the problem with Beltran is...he's seems healthy and has always been a very good all around hitter.
Why is Gardner out? Beltran should be sitting so I dont agree with a day off for Gardner. Especially when he's one of your hottest hitters.
...Young is hard to explain...pretty much had been given up on by everyone else but came to the Yanx and has flourished thus far. Solid defense, plenty of power and has cut down drastically on his strike outs. ...he's never been as good in his whole career as he's been with the Yanx.
Yankees bats basically silent......15Ks. Beltran [and few others] is reason why Yankees have to avoid these over-the-hill name players who get more money for inept production. Thanks so much 'Cash-airhead-man'.
