We knew that Tanaka was probably on shaky grounds. What I'd like to know is where the hell the Yankee medical and training staff on the mans condition?????? But as we look around the sports news we've noticed that pitchers are dropping like flies. So here's the gig, the team will have to step up and start filling voids starting with the 20 million non producing slug. Cashman will have to THINK a possible good solution to see the situation through. I too will state that the Greene deal should not have been done, the kid showed great promise was appreciated by the fans and the dumbasses traded him for a SS whom at this time has shown little value.

It's going to take a lot longer to know what Greene is. The deal does not look good at the moment but that can change in a week. Sure, would be nice to have Greene right now.

The Pineda/Montero deal took well over a year to figure if there was a "winner." Answer seems to be clear now. Theses deals for younger players just take time to evaluate.

...Dombrowski is a much better evaluator of talent than Cashman and a better GM than Cashman...he's proven that many times over.

You'd think the guy would learn how to build a bullpen over the years. It's held them back and will cost them as their window closes. Remember that ALCS they had all but won against Boston?

Update: Greene not having a solid outing today.

...lol...Yanx also had an ALCS all but won vs the Sox.

...Yanx also got bounced from the PS by Dombrowski's Tigers in 2006, 2011, and 2012.

    ...Tigers roster > Yankees roster

    ...Dombrowski > Cashman

2004 ALCS is still surreal to me.

Reasonable or not, I'll always put 2004 on Torre napping in the dugout.

...I'll always put 2004 on Mo walking Millar to lead off the 9th...it all went downhill after that...never should have been a game 5, 6, or 7.

...game 4 is the game I remember most...the other games were a horrible blur.

I was at game six with the bloody sock. What a cold miserable night. I knew they would drop game seven. Wasn't surprised one bit.

...I got a horrible gut feeling after that game 4 loss...and when they lost game 5 in a similar fashion the momentum really shifted and I remember telling my wife "You watch, we're gonna end up losing this Series". ...she was like, "Nahh".

    Tigers = World Series gaggers.

By the way, how many WS have they won with Dombrowski as their GM?
    I've lost count.

Update- Eovaldi has a lower ERA than Greene.

lol...Dombrowski owns Cashman...and that was what the discussion was about.

...how many times have the Yanx beaten the Tigers in the postseason during Dombrowski's reign as GM?...I've lost count...wait, no I haven't ...it's ZERO.

Wasn't that the game where it might have been aa good idea to lay a bunt or two down? Instead, another sip of Bigelow...
